Cracker Barrel never disappoints. Went to the Kentucky State Fair. The food was expensive and all I could think about was ordering a catfish meal from Cracker Barrel once I left the fair. Great choice. Good, fresh food. Fair prices. Ordered takeout and they brought my meal to the car. Perfect because it was so hot.

It’s incredibly rare to see any served food actually look like the picture in a menu, sign, or poster. They did it at this Cracker Barrel and it tasted even better than it looked! I highly recommend the Southern Smoky Grilled Chicken Platter. It was marked as “Items under 600 calories and 15 grams of fat or less.” That along with an Arnold Palmer (half and half mix of lemonade and iced tea) were the perfect end to a way too long day at work.
Cracker Barrel, for me, is real nostalgia. From the rocking chairs on the porch to the food that really is like Mom and Grandma used to make. I hadn’t been to a CB in about three years and now I’ve found myself in a hotel right next door to one. Couldn’t help myself. The fireplace, the American Flag on display, the decor on the walls, and the friendly service completely restored my memories. I even tried my hand at the Cracker Barrel IQ Test. A great meal.

The service was good here, and they did what they could. There was a supremely dissatisfied customer that made themselves known to the entire staff and every customer in the store. The manager handled it professionally and quickly in my opinion. We showed up an hour and a half before closing. The men’s restroom needed some attention, and a deep clean. The store was nice, as usual. Our food came out properly, the main courses were fine. A lot of our side dishes looked like they had been under the heat lamps for a while. I’m a big fan of the hash brown casserole, but this one was dry and a tough chew. The same for the apples. The cornbread and biscuits were great.

Online order for three. Profit margins at this location must be insane. Lots of missing items. Very stingy portions of fried okra. Biscuits are smaller now. Three little pieces of chicken in the chicken & dumplings. No gravy for country fried steak. No jams. No honey. 1 butter for six biscuits. See photo – we requested adequate condiments but they were forgotten. Please check your pickup orders before you leave the restaurant so you’re not disappointed when you get home. Our order was QC checked according to Sharpie marker on receipt but it is very obvious that nobody checked this bag.

Wow…this place is really awesome. They have got really great menu to pick your order from. Prices are affordable, food tastes great, service from staff is also superb, and most importantly is it is at the closest proximity from Uofl campus.

My father and I went to eat breakfast at the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store on Crittenden Drive in Louisville Kentucky and I was very disappointed. The whole breakfast experience was complainable.. Let’s see I’m going to sum it up real quick the greeter ignored us for a minute, the waitress never came back to refresh our drinks not once, the food was not tasty at all to top it off… All I have to say is come on Cracker Barrel let’s do better!!! It’s Cracker Barrel on a Sunday… food was good, as usual, seasoned just right and arrived quick and hot. We were seated near a larger, loud party, at a table for 4 though we were a table of 5, even though there were round tops available, so not sure what was up with that. Maybe our server was next in the seating rotation and the round top wasn’t in her section. No worries though as our server did an excellent job of taking our orders, keeping us informed of our order status, brought biscuits and corn bread to the table, and kept our drinks topped up. They’re just some days where you want something comforting, and the comfort food from Cracker Barrel. I had gone for a hike and on my way back I decided to make a stop at this location. Now one thing I have learned is that Cracker Barrel has an online waitlist. So that way if you know you’re headed there you can put your name on the list. On this particular day, there was no wait. It’s that classic Cracker Barrel ambiance and there was a little puzzle on the table and I was left with the menu. I haven’t been to Cracker Barrel in a really long time and I found it interesting that the menu now has alcohol. There’s mimosas and Jack Daniels drinks. I won’t hold that against them. Cracker Barrel also modified the menu to include some really nice Shareables for the table including fried pickle chips, cheese curds, and biscuit donuts. I ordered the Momma special which had pancakes, eggs, and your choice of meat. The nice part about the Cracker Barrel menu now is that they have a plant-based substitute for meat with impossible sausage. It was actually very tasty. I was very pleasantly surprised. The pancakes were light and fluffy. It comes with its own little singleserve syrup, and you can also ask for some fancy syrups. My meal was delicious. I really enjoyed it. And my coffee was getting constantly refilled while I was sitting there. This was a really great experience and I had an excellent time.
