During our return trip to Texas from a lovely getaway in Mobile, my mother and I stopped at this Cracker Barrel for breakfast. We were fortunate to be served by Cade, whose exceptional service truly stood out. He was friendly, attentive, and ensured we had everything we needed, all delivered with a welcoming smile. For a restaurant, their little store was more interesting than their food and staff. Food was terrible and very costly. Very little choices compared to their former glory. Staff acts like they would rather be anywhere else, but there helping you. For a lunch hour, they were dead…only a few tables were occupied. Very sad indeed.

Everything about this visit was a 5 star review…. except the men’s room. I visited it when we first arrived and it was not in good shape. Urine all over floor, trash can over flowing and paper towel dispenser empty, and toilet paper dispenser empty also. I revisited after my meal and it was still a mess. Since there was no management reaction within 30ish minutes I could not give a five star rating.
Service was great. Food was great. Ashley was our server and she was everything we could have wanted. Meal was perfect to our order.

The restaurant section and souvenir shop was pleasantly Western themed and Customer service was good. The waitress was friendly and attentive. I’ve never been here and although place was quite busy, food arrived alright and Portions or quality of chicken or cooked items could’ve been better but overall good for first time experience here . American southern food and menu consists of staple items like starchy stuff like mashed potatoes, fries, biscuits, gravy, Mac and cheese, fried chicken,fish,vegetables,pot pie,corn on the cob, and more. They also have hand crafted fizzy sodas, a few deserts, and brewed ice tea on menu.

I eat all my food because don’t like wasting food. I haven’t ever seen a square steak. I asked for it medium,not rare.
The scramble eggs are not. Liquid eggs poured and folded ♀️.
I know that I shouldn’t have gone to Cracker Barrel for steak. But my kids couldn’t do Long Horn nor any dense steak house that night.

Depending on the Cracker Barrel… usually that’s how it goes. One this day, they were busy. Staff was attentive and pleasant. Lots of folks probably on the road for the week of Thanksgiving. Including us. All was well. We tried different items. The French toast with chicken, Breakfast bites: beignet biscuits, hashbrown loaded tots , cheese bites, and the old timers breakfast. Had to be hungry to eat all that. Took a while for food to come out…so be patient. It was delicious.
