Usually I’m so pleased with anything I get from Cracker Barrel. I work 40-50 hours a week and I’m in the restaurant industry myself, so sometimes I have to get food to go. Today I ordered breakfast to go and I don’t eat biscuits so I ordered toast. It appeared that someone took a bite out of a piece of toast. (I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but unfortunately there are actual teeth marks in it.) I know mistakes happen, but this was very strange and disappointing. My husband insisted that I take a picture of it even though I didn’t want to say anything because we usually get decent service here. I just don’t want anyone else to have to experience this because it seems like they take their frustrations out on their to go orders.

Wednesday night and my favorite Cracker Barrel night!! I love the broccoli chicken meal. It was cooked perfect!! I had cole slaw and fried apples as my side! The front dining room was getting busy but our server Jessica took care of us. Tamara Emory was the manager on duty. She sat us and kept going around the dining room checking up on everyone. It was a great dining experience and great value for the money. We will be back!

We eat normally here all the time, but it had been a while until this time. It’s a great place to eat! The food is always good and everyone is always nice! We got there close 5pm and the parking lot was pretty full, but we were seated immediately.

Lenoir City is a perfect stopping spot if you are traveling to Pigeon Forge from Chattanooga. The best part about stopping at a Cracker Barrel is the food is consistently good and each location has its own decor of unusual antiques and vintage items, which makes the short wait for food interesting. The front of the restaurant is like a Home Goods with interesting finds in decor and clothes. I tried the French toast for the first time, which was prepared with sourdough bread that had been dipped in beaten eggs and grilled. I was skeptical that the sourdough would add a tartness to the dish, but it perfectly sets up the real Maple syrup that is served warm in a small bottle. Each bite was heaven. It came with 2 eggs and bacon. The bacon was crisp and had a mild smoky flavor. If you are ordering this dish, plan to make it a cheat meal as it comes in at a whopping 1,000 calories, but so worth it. My husband had the 4-piece fried chicken dinner, and it was hot, crispy and not a drip of grease anywhere.

I was very impressed by how a situation was handled regarding my order today. My chicken fried steak was not quite done. It was noticeable when cutting into it, so no food was consumed. The waitress was extremely apologetic and took the food back immediately. Within a minute the manager came to my table to also apologize. They brought out some extra bread in case I wanted to have some while waiting. The takeaway is that the cook messed up, but the waitress and management were on top of it. They genuinely cared, as they should. You just don’t get that kind of service every day. When I received my plate the food was hot, fresh delicious as well as done. (:

The women’s washroom was in such poor shape, unsanitary to the point where I would not let my kids use the toilets after supper. Service was mediocre. Food was OK; Cracker Barrel needs more gluten free selections.

Chicken tenders have been terrible lately. They taste like they’ve been lightly fried with the catfish breading. They’re also incredibly dry. I thought it was a one off thing, but it’s been like that the last three times. The service was amazing, and the girls up front were incredibly kind. Those ladies are perfectly trained for customer satisfaction. The store and bathrooms were clean and sanitary. The food has just been INCREDIBLY sub par, if not worse.
