Seems chaotic and unorganized. I went with my company for a breakfast meeting and I think a group of 9 was too much for the staff. I ate at the one on Boone’s Creek exit in Johnson city tn. My colleague ordered chicken fried steak without gravy, it came with gravy. When he told our server, she replied ” yeah, they put gravy on that”. Did not offer to correct the problem. They brought out dishes one at a time and asked ” who got eggs”? Well, we all did. Lol, they struggle there. I’ve tried it three times and it never gets better. Good food, good atmosphere, just need to get a little organized.

What is not to say about Cracker Barrel. Their food is always scrumptious and the homey atmosphere makes it such a warm and inviting place to go. It doesn’t matter whether you’re by yourself or with the whole family it’s just such a great place to go!
They have exceptional pancakes and can be purchased by the box so you can try your luck at home; my only reservation is don’t forget to purchase their pure maple syrup as well!
A great place to eat. We only wish they would build one in Kingsport on Rt 11 West going toward Church Hill. Right now we have to travel over 1/2 hour to get there.
Update: We went to Cracker Barrel last night for dinner and it was really busy.
It took a very short time, maybe 15 minutes to be seated at around 6:30 pm but after ordering it took a very long time to get our food; not typical.
I usually order breakfast for dinner, but thought as a change I’d order a Chicken Pot Pie, I was wrong. For me, it didn’t taste like I remembered but they did reimburse me for it
Next time, and I will go back because their pancakes both regular & blueberry are so delicious, and add their individual warm bottles of Maple Syrup!

My wife, Bette, and I had breakfast at Cracker Barrel this morning. What a delight our server was. Olivia was personable, knowledgeable and served us a hot meal, refilled our drinks as quickly as ever; give that girl a raise!
With server’s like that we will surely be back!

Probably the worst 2 meals we have ever got from here. Was looking forward to the campfire meals. That was a complete waist of money. As you can see, one potato cut in half and the chicken was dry.

The food was good, the side portions seemed small. The service was not on par, the server missed a side on my husband ‘s order. Then we asked for a mix of corn bread and biscuits, only got biscuits, they did eventually bring cornbread toward the end of our meal, after asking twice. It seemed to take a long time for the food in general. The restaurant was not full but they seemed short on servers or coordination.
The food did taste good, our glasses were kept full. Overall not a bad experience, but it could have been better.

Just got take out from Johnson City Boones Creek location, and VERY disappointed!! The fried chicken was barely warm, certainly not fresh made, the Mac n cheese was so watered down it was horrible. The only thing hot was the dumplings! I have no doubt this was leftovers overs from lunch. I should have known when the girl said it would be ready in less than 10 minutes it wasn’t fresh! They certainly would not have served this to a customer sitting in the restaurant. We have always had fantastic food from other cracker barrel restaurants! Hot and fresh!! So this was a really disappointing experience!!

My waitress, Heidi, was absolutely perfect!! Above and beyond!! More people who serve the public should be just like her!! Food was awesome! Not really crowded so it was very enjoyable!
