My Mom & I both ordered the grilled chicken tenders. Her’s arrived at our table looking as expected. Mine on the other hand did not. I’m not a “squeaky wheel” kinda person but I did want the manager to see that what I was being served was not to the standards of Cracker Barrel. She was empathetic & offered to bring me another order. Since we’d waited an hour for our original order, due to short staffing & a large lunch crowd, I passed. She then wanted to bring our table dessert as a concession & we accepted her kind gesture with a “please & thank you”. Alas the dessert never arrived & we just left to free up the table. I love Cracker Barrel & will not let this experience taint my general opinion but I will probably not return to the Fort Payne AL location for a while.

JUST “TERRIFIC!”
On Friday, August 30, 2024, my party of four adults dined at the Cracker Barrel restaurant in Ooltewah, TN.
That early evening, I chose to order:
Country Fried Steak (with Brown Gravy on the side), Hash Brown Casserole, Turnip Greens, and Fried Apples. Additionally, I chose their famous Cornbread Muffins as my bread and simply water as my beverage.
I thoroughly enjoyed ALL of my selections.
Cracker Barrel in Ooltewah, TN, did an outstanding job. Compliments to the server, the chef, and the ENTIRE team there.

I’m going to have to give Cracker Barrel just a passing grade on the food this time. One of the things I loved about their breakfast menu was the Spicy Chicken Sausage, which they have recently abandoned to replace with some turkey sausage patties, which don’t hold a candle to the Chicken Sausage. No spice or real flavor at all. Plus they seem to be out of hashbrowns here lately. I ventured to order the Hashbrown Casserole which was just about a half step below repulsive. I still love the atmosphere and interacting with the wait staff, etc, but it may be awhile before I darken this door again.

A friend of mine and I decided to give this particular Cracker Barrel location a try what can I say they did not disappoint the food was the quality I expected the prices for fair and the service was very good. I do find it funny yesterday we went by the same location and they were out of ketchup so today we brought our own ketchup for our food and luckily they had a truck come in today with all new catch up LOL even with that I would still recommend this location for travelers and locals alike. Easy access on and off of the interstate

This Cracker Barrel has to be my favorite in terms of location and atmosphere! The street beside is relatively quiet and the demographic of people here is always polite and considerate. I only give it a four instead of a five since the food here is still processed to an extent, and us as Americans have probably made peace with that, however, the key to optimal dining is customization. Most of the menu items at Cracker Barrel are already pre-made. So no chicken pot pie for those of you who are allergic or just don’t like onions.

Always stop by a cracker barrel when I travel. Noticed they have a new menu and didn’t know that you serve alcohol now. Got the daily special brocolli cheddar chicken and might I say it was delicious. Shout out to our server Shelly very sweet and made sure our drinks were always filled and made sure we had everything we needed.

Always enjoy the atmosphere at Cracker Barrel restaurant and the gift shop out front to find those rare nicnacks I loved as a kid. The food is decent, biscuits are always a favorite. I haven’t been to eat breakfast for a few years; but this morning I decided to hit up our local store after drop off. I ordered the long time hit “ole timers breakfast” to my surprise this includes a breakfast side as well. The reason for the 4 star review starts here. I only wanted regular hash browns which cost an up charge of a dollar versus the complimentary hash brown casserole. Well I didn’t want the hash brown casserole and feel very strongly that the plain hashbrowns should not cost extra. Please fix this Cracker Barrel corporate!!

I’m very disappointed with tonight’s order. We ordered online and was told the food would be done by 730. I got there at 720 and got in the pickup spot. Called and told them I’m here for a pickup order that my wife placed online. They told me to give them 10-15 minutes and they will bring it out to me and I was next in line for food. After 30 minutes I walked inside and asked where my food was. They told me to give them a few more minutes and get back in my car and they will bring it to me. I waited another 25 minutes and called them again! They told me someone put my food up at the front counter by accident and will bring it to me asap. 5 minutes later I get my food. I finally get my food home after sitting in the parking lot for an hour and the steak tips are still raw! My kids can’t eat that…now I have to cook this food MYSELF and make my family wait even longer. I won’t be doing this again.

No more Cracker Barrels for me or my family. Meatloaf dry, no flavor. Okra burnt under heat lamp for hour or so. Rice was dried out. No comp or nothing. Left with almost a whole plate sitting $55 plus tip…very frustrating
