Frozen in TN, stopped here and had a great warm breakfast. Mady, our server, made our experience wonderful. For context, we have had no electricity for 6 days. Thanks to all who came in with this weather and kept us well fed.

Cracker barrel is a classic family restaurant that has great portions and good prices. Unfortunately there are no cracker barrels in Canada so we always go when visiting USA . I love the chicken n dumplings . They never disappoint ! Always get a side of biscuits. Service is good, good atomosphere and font forget to visit the country store.

It was great before Cracker Barrels rebranding, this one didnt change much, but the menu took a hit. They still have most classics, and some newer things on it, but I hope they stick to country cooking, as thats what people want from a Cracker Barrel. I dont go when Im in the mood for a burger, I go for chicken n dumplins or country fried steak.

Overall, still a solid spot, food is made pretty quickly, everything is clean, and the staff are all very welcoming for the most part. I wish the manager would walk the floor a bit more to get a better feel for the community, but it is a corporation. If it felt more like a local store, or tried to, I think they’d get even more business, like some of the mom and pop places nearby.

I’ll keep going here, their hash browns casserole, biscuit beignets, and country fried stake are my favorite options they provide. You’ll leave full and likely with some extra. If you haven’t tried them before, grab a slice of “coca cola cake”, you wont regret it and will likely have a new favorite cake.

Best strawberry cheesecake pancakes I’ve ever had. Today’s cook made the bacon and eggs just right. Wonderful smiling service also.

Sierra was our server. She was on top of service the whole time we were there even though she had several other customers. We went on a busy weekend morning and were seated almost immediately. The food came out quickly and it was delicious. Sierra made sure the coffee was hot and checked often to see if we needed more. Now when we go back we always look for Sierra and hope we are lucky enough to be seated in her area again.

It may have just been an off day, it happens, but this visit was pretty disappointing. Even though the restaurant was pretty empty we had to wait at least 20 minutes to be seated. The cashier noticed us waiting and finally called someone to the front. After we were seated, no one came to wait us for almost 30 minutes. I had to stop someone, after multiple waitresses passed us and didn’t bother asking if anyone had waited on us, and they finally sent someone. The waitress gave a strange excuse with an irritated tone, and stony expression before taking our order. She rarely checked on us and she was treating another table the same way. The food was not the quality I’m used to when I come to cracker barrel. The biscuits and gravy were really good but everything else was dry and tasted rushed.
Like I said, it may have just been an off day, but it was disappointing just the same. A side suggestion would be for the waitresses and waiters to be trained in social etiquette and the young men need to pull their hair out of their faces. They are working around food. And the fire place is beautiful but it got too hot as well and it made it hard to enjoy our food. And the manager needs to step up and keep the workers on there toes and the service may not have been so bad.

We go there on Thursday to get the turkey and dressing with cranberry sauce. We ordered they brought the meals without cranberry sauce. They told us they didn’t have any. I said it’s the meal of the day. I spoke to the manager, he said there wasn’t any. I said we come here on Thursday to get the meal with cranberry sauce. I ask for a free meal (1). He said he wouldn’t do that.for cranberry sauce. I told the person at the cash register that I would NOT BE BACK. She knows I Was a regular customer.

I have said this a few times before but I will never give this company another penny of my money. I am so tired of this restaurant taking advantage of me at every opportunity. I spend $45 and get a small burger that is over cooked and dry. I didn’t get my onion pedals in my order, ordered eggs over medium and they are the runniest undercooked eggs I have seen come out of Cracker Barrel yet, burnt bacon and this country ham is smaller than my sausage patty. Charge me $7 for this piece of bacon, single piece of sausage and this pathetic piece of ham, ordered grits and no butter or salt to be found. Instead I get a little plastic bag with mustard and mayonnaise packets only. Cinnamon apple slices that are dry and taste like they are 3 days old. I mean it. I swear to the Lord above. I will never be robbed from this horrible restaurant brand ever again. It’s my fault for giving them a 10th chance to screw me. I will post my photos and review on every social media and review site available with photos so I can at least take this experience and use this horribly disappointing experience to try to help others not waste their money and keep them from the same horrible experience.

Out of all soup and hashbrown casserole. You could almost cut the tension with a knife between kitchen staff vs waitresses. The whole atmosphere was tense. Cashier didn’t bother to ask how everything was. Our waitress was doing great!

Well it’s obviously not just the makeover of color and decorations; it’s everything. This was just horrible. The young server was great! But the food; yuck and double yuck.
They were out of the first 3 items we chose. The poor server, I felt horrible for him. He was so embarrassed. This wasn’t his fault at all. You would just think on a Sunday afternoon, 4pm, that’s prime time for Cracker Barrel. Or, so it use to be.
There was only about 20 people in this restaurant. Only took me a moment to figure out why. Me and my husband both got the country fried steak. I mean, it’s a staple there, right? This gravy was awful. The breading in the steak, well who cares because that comes frozen now too. The biscuits are spongy and completely come from a frozen box. (Remember the days of the good ole’ homemade biscuits) The steak and biscuits were what this place was about. Country fried steak and gravy with green beans and mashed potatoes? That WAS cracker barrel. Well, they were out of apples, green beans and mashed potatoes. Out of fried pickles, out of hashbrown casserole. What in the flipping flip? How?.On a Sunday afternoon and you have no one in your building. Also, from the servers perspective, he advised us- they hadn’t been busy all day. So, what’s the dealio?
Honestly, it doesn’t matter their excuse or their reasonings. I won’t be going back. No to anyone of them. Doesn’t matter what rebranding they try to do. I just will not give my money to the business anymore. So Cracker Barrel, y’all seen to be on a roll of losing customers.
Well today, y’all lost 5 more.
I wish y’all the best with frozen foods, spongy biscuits, thick gloops of gravy and lack of inventory.
