I always love the biscuits and blackberry jam. I tried the impossible sausage and it was awful – mooshy and even though it looked like a sausage patty, it definitely did not have the flavor I was expecting (and I have had other vegan sausages) – one of my egg yolks was overcooked (I had ordered over medium)

– I did enjoy the French toast and biscuits

I wish they would serve chicken or turkey sausage as an option for customers who do not eat pork

Service and atmosphere was great! Taste of food? It was ok, nothing to brag about.

Horrible experience here due to my waitress, Addaija. It took her too long to acknowledge me. I had to even ask for my silverware and after she bought that I had to ask for my tea, then after that had to ask for a straw. After my food came, she did not come back to my table once to refill my drink as I sucked on ice. She knew she was horrible by the way she looked at me. I had to track her down to get my check. If service is the norm like this at this particular location, I will not return. The sirloin tips were seasoned and food was tasty. However, this was ruined by bad customer service. Shame shame shame

Stopped for breakfast. Wait wasn’t too bad. Hubby ordered Grandma’s Samplers French toast breakfast with the hashbrown casserole as his side. The sausage and ham were way over cooked and the French toast crust was hard to cut through. I ordered the Old Timer Breakfast with bacon and the hashbrown casserole. The best parts were the biscuits and gravy and the large mugs of coffee. The only reason we didn’t rate a three was due to our server Terrell. He was great.

We chose CB because the weekend was extremely busy for my family & I had little time to cook. We waited about 30 minutes to receive our meal once we got there. We were standing so long I just asked if we could sit on the porch & wait. They were behind in the kitchen because there were at least 3 other families waiting g for meatloaf too.
The meal we received had a meatloaf that was burned & covered in sauce. The mac & cheese was good. The green beans were bland as if they had been taken straight from the can & heated. The mashed potatoes were bland as well. I doctored up the sides when got home to make it a little better. The meal was not horrible but for $120 I expected better.
In the store, one of the cashiers was walking around chewing the strings on his jacket. I never saw him interact with a customer but he had on an apron & was standing at the door as we entered. The lady who brought our box out to us was extremely polite & put it in my SUV for us.

The service was excellent, and this was my first time trying the strawberry cheesecake stuffed pancakes—absolutely amazing. They were generously filled, not overly sweet, and truly delicious.

That said, the dining room could use some attention. A thorough top-to-bottom dusting would go a long way, as the overall cleanliness of the space felt a bit neglected.

I enjoyed everything about our visit today. No wait to be seated, staff was friendly, server Mary A. was patient yet quick and very accurate with our order. We ordered breakfast and everything was exactly how we ordered it. I highly recommend for all that want to enjoy a good reasonable meal alone or with family and friends.

⭐☆☆☆☆ Cracker Barrel: Where the Biscuits Are Warm but the Marketing Is Ice Cold

Ah, Cracker Barrel — the place where you go for comfort food, rocking chairs, and the nostalgic feeling of being trapped inside your great grandmother’s gift shop. Unfortunately, their marketing lately has been about as comforting as a lukewarm bowl of grits.

We walked into the Montgomery location, while the place was virtually empty, we couldn’t get anyone to set us. There were three people standing around the cash register. After asking multiple times I was told a hostess would be right with me, I think 10 minutes is excessive.

Who knew a company famous for pancakes and peg games could outdo themselves by serving up the worst PR strategy this side of the Mississippi? Bravo, truly. Nothing brings people together like the collective sigh of “What were they thinking?”

Walking into Cracker Barrel after that marketing disaster feels like stepping into a room where everyone just pretends the elephant isn’t in the corner wearing a “We Messed Up” apron. Even the wooden checkerboard looked embarrassed.

But hey — at least the food is still decent. Because if their biscuits were as bad as their marketing choices, we’d all be in trouble.

Honestly, the only thing they’re serving reliably these days is unintentional comedy.

Cracker Barrel: where the rocking chairs still rock… but nothing else does.

My food had metal cooked into it and another dish was completely uncooked. I called multiple times & visited the store to get my refund, the manager never came to the phone. I will be contacting corporate & a personal injury/ negligence attorney.

Pam was awesome. She took care of us very well and paid attention to us. Made sure we were good with everything. She recommended great menu items. The only thing that was sad, they didn’t have blueberry syrup. All in all. 9 1/2 out of 10. Really came for pancake with that syrup. Will definitely request Ms Pamela on our next visit. Thank you lovely.
