As always, Cracker Barrel is a pleasure for our family, and this location at the I-75 Ocala Gateway was no exception. We love the atmosphere, the classic setup, the country store, and above all, the food. Here, the service was excellent, staff were quick, friendly, and efficient, and our meals were served promptly. Please keep the traditional setup and logo just as they are; they are part of the unique charm that makes Cracker Barrel feel like a timeless stop on the road.

I ordered the Friday Fish fry. Wife ordered the 4 veggie meal. My okra was given to her as part of her 4 veggies. We had to ask for her 4th veggie. I was served poorly cooked Cod as fish fry. Okra was served warm. Green beans & mashed potatoes were cold. Potatoes were too thick as well. Asked for corn bread but didn’t receive any until meal was finished. The pinto greens & turnip greens are cold & very dry. Dumplings were ice cold.
Reserved dumplings were very good. Manager didn’t offer to comp any of the meals or part of them. While waiting in line to pay at checkout customer behind me said that he took a year off before giving store a second chance. We won’t be back.

This is one of the best run Cracker Barrel restaurants we have been to. We really like the food and atmosphere at all of them, but the service at this restaurant was even better than most. Our server was spot on with friendly and attentive service and the folks in the Old Country Store side were equally great. This was a very pleasant experience all the way around.

Was quickly greeted by the hostess who so was cheery ( I have forgotten her name, Tuesday 7pm). Our server was Connor who took amazing care of us. He kept our drinks full and checked back on us often. I have to admit, in recent Cracker Barrel visits, Connor was our best server yet! He was extremely attentive, listened well and we got everything we asked for without him missing anything.
Now for the food, we always order the same thing when we visit CB locations. Unfortunately they did not have any mac and cheese this evening. I substituted with dumplings and my husband with mashed potatoes/gravy. Our food came out quickly, was hot and fresh but was subpar in flavor. The dumplings were pretty liquidy and the potatoes had no flavor. The Southern grilled chicken had a lot of grizzle and touch to cut/chew.
Check out was quick and easy with the manager giving a shout out for Connors exceptional service!

Waiter was nice, respectful but absent. I ordered sampler with 3 sides, one being a salad. I thought I would get my salad before the meal. Never saw the waiter again until after 2 others brought our meals minus my salad. Never refilled our drinks. My brother was still waiting for corn muffins he was told were in the oven. 45 minutes later we were needing to go containers and another 20 to get the bill. I waitressed for many, many years waiter didn’t get the flow, was so far in the weeds he was floating in the ocean. Just needed guidance and structure. They need to stop micromanaging everything.

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent visit for a meal. The food was truly delicious and prepared with care. We found the flavors to be very satisfying. While the service was a bit slower than anticipated, it did not detract significantly from our overall positive experience. The ambiance of the establishment was quite pleasant. We appreciated the opportunity to relax and savor our meal. We would certainly recommend this place for its good food. We look forward to returning again in the future.

The food and atmosphere are always great. But our server tended to forget about checking our drinks and checking to see how we were doing as an 8-top. She passed us several times and never made eye contact. We actually had to call her over for missed items and refills. I get it, I was a server but if she was in the weeds she could have asked a manager or other server for help until she got caught up .

They’ve upped their game on the food, flavorful and better variety! The soup and salad add on for $5 was so worth it, the chicken noodle soup is off the chart!

Stopped into this particular Crackerbarrel on the beginning of a long road trip from Fort Myers to Dallas…and what stood out the most was definitely the service.
Our waitress, Ginger, was very kind and attentive. We came in hungry, thirsty and hardly waited at all to get our food. Refills were also extremely quick! Overall, I was really happy with how we were treated.
The food options are what you would find at your typical Cracker Barrel. It definitely lived up to expectations but wasn’t amazing or anything. My pancakes were actually overcooked a bit which was disappointing. I did love the cute syrup bottles they included though! Eggs, toast, bacon and sugared ham were all excellent as well.
Price here is really unbeatable for what you get. As they advertise… 20 meals less than $12 and they aren’t kidding. So extremely reasonable it definitely adds some enjoyment to the meal.
It was a bit understaffed for the amount of customers but they were definitely making it work. Spacious parking lot and country store has great options.
