Wow, so much had changed with dining out now! The food was mediocre at best! Felt like it was warmed in the microwave. The Hash Brown casserole was old and cold. The turnip greens looked like they were poured out the can and warmed in the microwave with a piece of hard smoked meat in it. I was surprised at the quality and lack of care from cracker barrel, once being a raving and reputable establishment. I never understood how ppl could be so nonchalant about the services they provide and food they serve to others. The server never came back to our table to ask if we wanted refills but continuously visited the table directly across from us laughing and talking with them. Walked past us several times clearly seeing empty glasses. My husband had ask if she was still our server and if, so could we get refills. My husband and I also ordered the peach cobbler for dessert and it was served with what looked like milk poured over the top. It literally looked like canned peaches in a cold bowl of milk. Absolutely no crust whatsoever! Just syrupy canned peaches! I immediately told the server “I’M NOT EATING THAT” she apologized and asked if we wanted anything else before handing us our check and walking off. ….just wow! Only these days and time! I tell you restaurants and customer service has truly changed. These ppl are only in for a paycheck. The server could careless about the horrible food that was served.

Food wasn’t warm at all, but after we were served, the waitress quickly disappeared and wasn’t to be seen for a bit, so we ate it. I’m not one to complain, though eventually when our waitress made a reappearance, my husband did say something, but by now, I had eaten the main part of my meal cold as I was hungry.

The food was just warm when it arrived, but I’ve found that to be the case at Cracker Barrel all over the country. They’re serving so many people, it seems to be inevitable. The service was good, but our waitress seemed to be stretched thin and service waned. I understand when this happens, but when I want hot sauce for a meal and don’t get to use any, I don’t enjoy it as much… especially when the meal isn’t even heat hot. I asked for the hot sauce twice, but never got it. She was a nice lady, and I know she was just very busy, but still. Maybe staff more servers for a Sunday lunch.

We were seated 15 minutes before we were waited on. Food took nearly 45 minutes to find us and scrambled eggs were cold. We have eaten here many times and Heather is a good server but seemed to be working a lot of tables alone.

Great service from the waitress. The manager had an attitude that told us she couldn’t be bothered by our issue. The issue being they had no actual steaks and only steak tips, oh, and that a bug came out of the food for all 5 plates on the table… so yeah, ♂️ guess having an infestation in the kitchen is not an issue?
