Changes have been made for sure. They brightened the lighting in the dinning room and reduced the amount of items on the walls.
They tried to “modernize” the place.
The food was ok, the menu has changed a bit. Even the layout of the menu was rearranged, seemingly just for the sake of change.
Change happens, but change just for the sake of it does not help anything.
I have enjoyed Cracker barrel many times over the years. I hope at least some of the old ways come back.

Resteraunt was clean, there was no wait. The restrooms needed some work. We had 5 at our table, the waitress was friendly and attentive. The food took 30 minutes to come out. It was a long wait. The Shepard pie was amazing, meatloaf was a bit dry. Catfish and chicken sandwiches were also very good.

Love the home style country cooking in this restaurant. I had the sampler with meatloaf, fried chicken and okra, mashed potatoes and pinto beans. Was little disappointed they were out of chicken and dumplings but everything was cooked well and tasted great. The kids love the big candy store for dessert after dinner of course. Will definitely return.

The employees are friendly, helpful, and you get your food quickly. But, the food is of bad quality and is unappetizing. The coffee is bad tasting as well which is particularly unfortunate considering that it is $3.50 a cup. There are almost no options for health conscious people. I think that when the scenery is nice and the food looks pretty on the plate, people mistake the “good look” for “good taste”. I enjoy the looking through the Cracker Barrel Store, but I rarely buy anything because their items are overpriced. Occasionally, I will buy something that is on the clearance rack. But, they sell items that are unique; that is what Cracker Barrel has going for them in my opinion.

While we love to shop and eat at Cracker Barrel when traveling and usually find the food and service to be good, this trip was disappointing. The camp boil shrimp and sausage with new potatoes and corn on the cob was salty. There were only five small shrimp and even fewer thin slices of sausage, but the corn and potatoes were good. My wife enjoyed her pot roast with broccoli, but the unsweetened tea was too weak. Most concerning was the lack of wait staff. After taking our order, the waitress was missing in action. Management should recruit and train servers to be more attentive.

Did not quite have the best experience today. I grew up going to Cracker Barrels and have been to this location for the third time, but today was not a good day when it came to cleanliness. We were set at a table in an area where the floors were not clean. Although our waiter was very kind, we did mention it to her and she did nothing about it. Everyone kept walking past as if it was not a problem. When I did get the hostess attention, I asked her could she pick a paper off the floor in which she did, only it was not just a paper. What about all the food and silverware and other trash on the floor……Hopefully, I didn’t bother her yet then again, I should not have to ask someone to clean up something that should already be done. Yes, our meal was good, but it was quite the eye sore seeing trash on everywhere.

I ordered the mama’s French toast with bacon and eggs and a hot chocolate. First, there was a piece of wax in my hot chocolate, and it was warm, not hot. Second, the table next to us got their food first even though they came a whole hour after us. Our server, Shaun, kept coming to the table and asking if everything was good even though all we got were our drinks. I had to switch to a half and half tea. My tea was just unsweetened. When we finally got our food, it was cold. We didn’t get napkins, and he kept reaching over us and our plates. My eggs were very underdone as well and a bit cold. Terrible experience.

I enjoy the Old Times store at Cracker Barrel. The food is good but the service leaves a lot to be desired. They definitely need to do a better job of cleaning tables and silverware. We requested plastic utensils because the silverware was filthy. I watched the hostess wipe down a table and it still had a pile of salt on it AFTER she wiped it down! We visited on a Monday morning, President’s day. We were seated promptly but waited about 45 minutes to receive our meal. The waitress seemed overwhelmed. I ordered momma’s pancake breakfast with impossible sausage. It was good and fulfilling. My daughters had grandma’s sampler and Old Timer’s breakfast. The biscuits n’ gravy was not good at all. No one ate it. Neither of my girls finished their meals. On top of the service lacking, the food was not good. I did enjoy my mimosa. But I rarely drink. Needless to say , I won’t be returning anytime soon.

We had a great birthday celebration. Food came out hot, service was a little slow and forgetful at times as our water would run out before she would return. But overall not terrible.
