Stopped into this location after a very early morning on the Blue Ridge Parkway catching the sunrise. As with almost every other Cracker Barrel in the country, it was busy, but that is almost to be expected. However, we only had about a five minute wait.

My husband and I live in Morganton NC and we frequent the restaurant for breakfast and lunch. The last 3 times we eat there, the food was wrong! I’m guessing you will say it’s because of not having adequate help. We have ordered eggs the last 3 times and they weren’t cooked the way we asked. Either undercooked or overcooked. I mean it’s an egg people!!! So today my husband ordered over medium eggs, and they come out over cooked. I ordered well done scrambled eggs and they came out like a flat omelet and brown on both sides. The biscuits are always to hard, i guess they bake them to long, and the gravy is always cold!! We had to ask our waitress for refills on our coffee. 45 minutes after we ate their, my husband got really bad diarrhea!! Also they have removed so many things from the menu, like Lima beans, chicken and gravy, the turkey bacon and turkey sausage. The regular bacon is nor the same, it used to be thick sliced, but it’s very thin now. It seems like they keep removing all the vegetables and other famous dishes and adding more and more alcoholic beverages!! This restaurant is supposed to be a family restaurant. I really feel like there is a problem in the kitchen!! It’s needs to be addressed asap!! This restaurant is going to start losing customers over how down hill this Cracker Barrel has run!!! Please address these issues!!!

Horrible horrible. Nobody in the place and it took an hour. I do understand being short staffed though, that goes for anyone! The waitress was nice. She brought out biscs for us though that were hard as a rock! I got the steak and shrimp platter. Steak was so nasty I couldn’t eat it, even smothered in A1! I don’t recommend it!!!!

I wish I could remember waitress name. She was so sweet and attentive. We had breakfast. The only thing that could have been better were the biscuits which were a bit dry. The gravy was great on them. The hashbrown casserole was amazing.

Best part of our last visit to CB was our server, Dalton. He was great! You could tell he was fairly new, but he was working hard to keep us and his section covered. Dalton was so pleasant and professional. Worst part, the food was just OK. We both ordered breakfast with French toast. It came with bacon and sausage. The sausage was not good at all. It was so over cooked that it was inedible. Overall not too bad.

The 2 times before yesterday the food had gone down hill. Maybe different cooks than before when I loved coming here. I was pretty disappointed but gave it another go yesterday. We had breakfast and it was great. The pancakes were back to being huge as before. Thank you. Service was great. I hope they keep it up.
