I always get the country boy breakfast with the steak. It is usually awesome. However, it seems they made a change and now instead of a quality piece of steak you get “steak tips” shoot, I don’t even think it’s steak. Unedible is what it is. The taste/texture is awful. I hate to complain because everyone was nice and I didn’t even complain to the waiter about it. I just feel corporate should know that this will definitely turn people away. If it is a change to save money now it will be a change that will cost you money later. Just saying.

Visited 2/6/23 and definitely regret bringing my niece here for dinner. She had fries and grilled cheese sandwich which she said didn’t taste nothing like it. I’m not sure what kind of bread that was used. I had grandma’s breakfast sampling, with 2 pancakes that were okay but the bacon didn’t look all the way done and the eggs were burnt, not to mention the fried apples had something strange in my serving.( checkout the pic) I’m use to fried apples being skinless. So you can imagine what I felt when I see pieces of green skin just in the bowl. I let the server know and all was said is “sorry about that, would you like another ?” How crazy does that sound. Then they had the audacity to charge my card more than what was on my receipt even after I left a tip at the table. Yes….Cracker Barrel has definitely lost a customer as well as any referrals.

Rather disappointing. Food was just average, ordered fries, these were over cooked and dry. Biscuits were good, fresh and fluffy. Impossible sausage was over cooked – burnt is best way to describe. Hash lacked texture and flavour. Was missing the onions or had very little.

Cracker Barrel has been going down hill for a while now in my opinion. Seems like every time I go in there, there is some type of issue with the food. I stopped going for a long time. I remember when they first opened. It was so exciting. The food was so delicious. You could have breakfast anytime of the day you wanted to. The inside of the store was and still is such a treat to walk around and find the treasured treats of candies of long ago when times were simple and children played outside with sticks and flowers or anything else they could find. Store bought toys and game stations weren’t necessary. All that being said, my last visit was a horrible mess. The roast beef which a large portion of the first bite is rolled up into the napkin was so tough I couldn’t even chew it so I tried and piece. Same thing. The salad was however very fresh and for a side item quite large and very good. The mashed potatoes were so lumpy it was almost like eating a baked potato. My husband got the fried catfish and I think they had not changed the frying oil in a while. The portion size was small and it was greasy. He loves coleslaw but couldn’t tolerate it at all. The biscuits weren’t even cooked as you can tell by the photos. I brought it to the attention of the waitress about the roast beef, she said she would tell the manager and came back with the bill. As you can see. We paid for it. Needless to say that will be the last time.

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. Tell my why this place even has curbside ordering when everytime I have came here nobody brings my food out to my car. I sat and waited for 30 minutes today and there’s three people in there doing absolutely nothing. I have had to walk in everytime to get the food. I clicked the link and called them multiple times. Nobody ever answers the phone, they will just make up excuses that it’s not working. If nobody is going to do curbside then they need to take that option off their website. I have better things to do with my time then sit for 30 minutes waiting on an order that’s just sitting on a shelf because they’re too lazy to bring it out to my car. If they don’t wanna do curbside because they’re fat and lazy then don’t offer it.
