There wasn’t a huge crowd in the restaurant this morning around 10:15. I was promptly seated and my waitress came quickly to take my order. My unsweetened tea was brought in a couple of minutes. My meal was ready faster than I expected it to be done. My eggs were cooked exactly as I wanted. The country ham had a slightly salty taste like I expected. The hash brown casserole was delicious as always. The biscuits were soft and fluffy. The country gravy was very good, too. I love their cinnamon apples and these didn’t disappoint. The unsweetened iced tea was very good. My waitress checked on me several times and refilled my tea before my glass was empty. It was a delicious meal and a relaxing time eating.

Went with my family plus a friend, Had a great time, the waitress was a doll and the food was so delicious. One of my favorite places to go. Such a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, with lovely staff. Love getting the chicken strip plate. Hoping to get those pancakes next time.

I’m honestly not sure why there are so many negative reviews on Yelp—every time I come to Mount Airy, Cracker Barrel is a go-to stop for my family and me, and it has never disappointed. We’ve been coming here for several years in a row, and the consistency in both the food and service has been great.
We stopped in for lunch today as a group of 7, and everything was spot on. Our server, Taylor B., was absolutely excellent—attentive, friendly, and kept everything running smoothly without missing a beat.
I ordered the meatloaf with fried apples and mashed potatoes, and it was fantastic. The meatloaf was flavorful and perfectly cooked, the apples were warm and sweet, and the mashed potatoes were classic comfort food.
If you’re in Mount Airy and looking for a solid, satisfying meal with great service, don’t let the low ratings scare you off. Cracker Barrel continues to deliver every time for us!

We stopped in around 1:30. The restaurant was not crowded. The cheese bites were good. The tenders were not juicy, kind of tough. The hash brown casserole was cold and dry. The apples were also cold, but the taste was good. The only items besides the cheese bites that came out hot were the fried chicken and the dumplins. It wasn’t my best meal here.

Me and my wife and sister in law and my niece went here tonight and at first service was nice. The waiter seemed nice but waited 30 minutes to come tell my SIL that what she ordered wasn’t available only for it to still come out…kinda weird but okay so she ordered something else only to get both and paid almost 50 bucks for what looked like jail food her and my wife food both looked the same my food was the only exception it was half way decent other than I didn’t get my gravy on my mashed potatoes but that’s not here nor there I can’t whole heatedly put all the blame on the server but I just feel like there could have been more communication but other than that Mr.cole I appreciate your efforts and your speediness and hospitality hang in there bud thing will get better

First time trying the garlic butter steak tips, they were delicious. Corn was buttery and cornbread muffins very good. The lady at the register was so sweet and gave us so many tips on the rewards program, etc

This was my first time ever eating at a Cracker Barrel. Everything was OK, almost nothing was great. The biscuits and gravy were lukewarm; almost everything seemed pre-made. The bacon was lukewarm. The saving grace was the blueberry pancakes, which were genuinely excellent. I would return for the pancakes only!

Got the vegetable plate. Four choices with Fresh corn bread muffins for just $9.99 EXCELLENT FOOD! Fresh broccoli, Not frozen.
And Keely was great and very cheerful. Give this lady a raise. Or a promotion! They are really doing a great job at this location!

Great food they have a wonderful staff at this location !! They are very nice !! They come often to my table asking if I need anything !! Great waitresses !!
