I decided to visit after a friend recommended this place for their $9 plate/menu. The service was excellent and very attentive. However, the $9 menu wasn’t mentioned or offered until I specifically asked about it.
The grilled oysters were absolutely delicious, and the mango salad with conch was refreshing. Unfortunately, the Shaken Beef took quite a while to come out, and it didn’t taste like traditional Vietnamese shaken beef—it actually tasted more like pork. When I asked, the waitress explained they had changed the marinade. I make this dish at home myself and also always get this dish when eating at a Vietnamese restaurant… the flavor was also very different from what I’m used to—it didn’t really taste like beef or resemble the classic shaken beef at all.

Went here yesterday with the hubbie and this place is so good.. we really enjoyed the food.. service was so nice and friendly. I highly recommend this place for seafood lovers.
We got a crawfish platter (we picked their Crabsark flavor-the first one on the flavor list) that one is sweet citrus with garlic and onions medium spicy. The flavor was really good! We tried thier crabsark fried rice and the fish sauce wings! We were surprised by how much wings we got.. thought it was going to be less.
Please try out this place for yourself! These small owner business really deserve the business. I will definitely come back since I’m always in this area and want my kids to try it out too!

Crawfish were BIG!
We got the gumbo, shrimp, crawfish, and eggrolls, and oysters. All the food was great! House special sauce is kind of sweet and yummy, the eggrolls were so light and crispy. Michis were so good! Owners came by and greeted us, the servicers were really friendly and gave good suggestions.
Will be back!

Crabsakr at 6155 N Fry Rd #300 in Katy is amazing! They currently have a $9 menu that lasts until August 25 – and it’s absolutely worth it. The food is delicious, and the portions are generous (unlike some places that cut back on the food for special deals). I had a late dinner here and loved every bite. Highly recommend you come and try it before the promotion ends!

I didn’t have a bad experience. The food just was just not what I expected. I ordered 3lbs of the house seasoned crawfish with corn and sausage. I could feel how spicy the food was but there wasn’t a flavor to coincide with it. Maybe the seasoning was solely on the outside but the flavor was lacking with the meat, corn and sausage. The butter that they gave with the order was Parkay and did not fit with the meal.

Pretty good place to eat and drink. Lots of Vietnamese drinking food. The oysters is good for the special pricing. 10/plate . Crawfish is a bit tiny and overcook . May need to add a bit more spices and salt for my Asian tastebuds .

I have never, NEVER left a negative review in my 22 years of living, especially as someone who worked in the food service industry for multiple years. Today, I was appalled at how my experience was here that I felt compelled to tell others. We came in, sat down, ordered and everything was fine. 30 minutes AFTER we ordered, we were informed that the kitchen staff was running late and had yet to arrive. This information should have been disclosed before we ordered and sat there for half an hour. 5 minutes after we were told that there was no kitchen staff, we saw them all walk in. We were a little confused, but were willing to wait it out. One of the staff member then proceeds to start mopping the floor with an overwhelming scented floor cleaner. Normally we aren’t sensitive to smells but the scent was so strong we started getting nauseous. They ended up offering us 10% off of our bill, but we could not physically sit and wait there any longer than we had. At this point, it had almost been an hour. We cancelled our order and left.
One minor detail that also bothered me happened when we have one dish that came out, the Tamarind Blood Clam. We had 2 clams in total before looking at the dish and realizing half of the plate were empty shells. I acknowledge that it was only supposed to be 8 clams after the wait staff informed us about the dish when we brought it up and claimed it was to let the customer know that it is fresh, however thats just bad practice because no customer wants to see their plate half empty.
We payed for the clams and was fine with that since we did receive the dish, and by no means do we want that money back. We just want a manager or someone to read this review and have a conversation on what the customer experience here was. Thank you for reading this review.

I went here after work the crawfish are nice in size but HARD u almost need a crab cracker to eat them the flavor was good and the restaurant was nice and clean will I return no but I will say the crawfish are okay

Trying this place for the 1st time at this location. Was good selection and had some yummy dish. Excellent service and it was almost full house on a Saturday night but still had amazing service. Definitely coming back when craving seafood

Honestly, by no means does this place has the best tasting crawfish but it does have a variety of Vietnamese food that I do crave! Especially snails! This is literally outside my neighborhood so its pure convenience and I don’t have to travel down Chinatown to fulfill my cravings.
Crawfish – I went a few weeks ago and it was $6.99/lb. Fairly priced. I got the house special which I’m not fond of. I don’t really like my crawfish tasting like our orange juice. And it’s very garlicky. Not a bad thing but crawfish was a little overcooked almost everytime I’ve been. So when I did come back, I tried the Cajun crawfish instead. A little better in flavor but still mostly overcooked. Needs a little bit more sodium. Haha yeah. Tail meats a little bland.
Snails – I’ve tried a couple of snail dishes here and for the most part it was was enjoyable! I prefer the ones cooked in coconut milk or the sautéed ones in lemongrass and garlic! Spicy, savory and just delish.
Chicken feet – love these things! Especially deep fried and always ask for extra crispy! And a side of rice. The crispy buts goes well with it.
Grilled shrimp – these were good. Nothing crazy.
Overall, I would say crawfish is okay. Vietnamese food faired way better. But however, the service is nonexistent. I’ve been here like maybe 4-5 times already. Only one other time, I’ve had A+ service. Most times, the guys just sit behind the cash register on their phones. I can be the only one in there and still have to wave for something. lol but yeah. A lot of times, I’ve seen dirty tables left uncleaned even up until the time I was done eating.. but besides that. I do enjoy it. Convenient and affordable.
