Brought my wife and kids here for dinner and I will NOT be back. It was the absolute worst service I have ever had. The waiter seated us and we got to order our food. Then when the food came the waitress didn’t offer any condiments she just walked away because she must have had a great story to tell the waitresses as they were standing around just talking instead of serving customers. Not once did I get asked “how is everything? Can I get you a refill”? Instead I was half way through my bill and the waitress asked “can I get you your bill”? Uhm I’d like a refill and sure I guess you might as well bring my bill….. I have not once not tipped a person but this had to be an exception. I have had better service at a fast food place over crabbys. Also I understand if the place is busy and the waitresses are running around helping table they get busy but there might have been 10 people on the dinning side and 3 waitresses standing around talking…I cannot recommend to avoid this place at all costs. When you are paying $70 for a meal I expect to have at least decent service. I have talked to coworkers about this place and they have had the same experience as well. I can see why it was so quiet in there, apparently everyone likes to avoid this place.

Went this past weekend with a hockey team. The restaurant knew we were a group of 35, a voicemail left earlier in the week to make the reservation larger went unanswered and I was later told “they don’t know how to check voicemail”. Regardless, we were given one waitress for 40 people. They were not accommodating to using jersey numbers for our orders. The orders took so long that we (as parents) had to leave and get our kids to their game and then come back to our food. The bills were not in any order so we had to have the team pay the entire bill and then sort them ourselves (literally by… what did you order and this is the price as there was NO organization to it). Needless to say I was super upset and left my phone number for the manager to call and received no phone call. If you are a team, DO NOT eat here on a time limit or with people paying their own bills. Some of us waited 3 hours for our food, and didn’t get offered a 2nd drink (she was too overwhelmed). I ordered prosciutto flatbread and there was no prosciutto on it (just bacon bits!). We realize it wasn’t waitresses fault. It was lack of staffing and the fact that this restaurant knew we were coming. Poor planning, poor service, lack of care.

My wife and I have been basically regulars every weekend for few months now and usually have a bill over 150 and tip very well. Ended up with a very grouchy waitress tonight (Payton b) waited 15 mins to even be acknowledged then another 10 for drinks to arrive. She was constantly sitting at the bar having drinks with what looked like an underage girl. Avoiding eye contact at all cost and no emotion on her face and very unpleasant to talk to. After beeing ther for 35mins she finally takes our order and the experience was enough for us to just take the bill and cancel the food. Definitely disappointed and not likely will be back for awhile.. ended up going to crabby joes in petrolia and had a great time with cheerful waitresses.. think Payton took the name “crabby” joes little to much to heart.

Let’s be blunt: the “Grill” in the name is doing a lot of heavy lifting for a kitchen that clearly never showed up to work. The food quality cratered so spectacularly it’s practically a corporate strategy — distributor rumours “confirm” it’s a head office problem, not the staff’s fault.
Customer service deserves better than to explain why your burger tastes like a policy memo; they’re polite, competent, and clearly doing more than the people pulling the strings.
Atmosphere is fine if you enjoy subdued lighting and culinary disappointment.
Head office, please stop calling it a grill unless you start actually grilling something other than your quarterly profit margins

First time there. Server was really kind and helpful but when we walked in we had to go find someone to get seated. The poor server was pretty much on her own while training. Despite all that she had a good attitude and was attentive to our table.
Atmosphere was decent, clean and uncluttered. The nachos we had came as a good sized portion, the chips were crispy, ingredients seemed fresh but the taste was fairly bland.
The others in our party got a bowl and the mixed platter and were very happy with their food.
Not sure this offers much more than what you would expect from another chain restaurant like Boston Pizza. I’d visit again but it wouldn’t be very close to my first choice.

One of the best experiences and a mist try dine-in place in Sarnia.
The food is amazing specially the spinach and artichoke dip is to die for.
They have quiet a vast variety of menu.
The deserts are just drool worthy at this place and I would definitely recommend this place if you need a dine-in option.

My husband and i love going Crabby Joes for a beer on a friday or saturday night. It says it’s open till 1 am . I am finding that they are starting to put chairs up all around u at 12:15 . It’s very rude when u are trying to finish your beer . There also was a couple that were just after getting their meal but had to eat it with chairs put up crowded all around them. It’s not right if people are paying for a meal and eating to be doing this. They were not impressed .If u are going to be putting up chairs while people are still there well maybe change your time of closing. Like when is last call to order a beer. ? The girls hate to see u enter at 11.30 for a beer even. Do u want to make money or not! Thanks !

Ordered the Spinich dip for takeout, hairs in the dip and pitas. Very little dip in the serving.
Pitas looked like they were scraped off another plate.

It was my first time coming to Crabby Joe’s in over 5+ years and I was not disappointed. When you enter, the restaurant is quite modern with ample seating and entertainment both in the dining room and in the bar area. It’s quite spacious in the restaurant.
My friends and I came in for half price appetizers past 9pm. We all got a Quesadilla and I also got a loaded fry. It didn’t take very long for the food to come out. Hot, fresh, and delicious with 0 issues. We also had 2 beers each, and the pricing wasn’t too bad on those compared to other local restaurants.
The staff were friendly, polite, and attentive. Good customer service can make or break your time.
Overall, I’d come back here again and I do recommend Crabby Joe’s Sarnia to couples, groups of friends, and families. It’s still a relatively priced restaurant in this time.
