Bigun & Michael have the freshest & best Dungeness crabs! Bigun gets the crab right off the dock in the morning & boils them right on the spot! Then he prepares them so they are so easy to eat. Delicious! We went there twice during our 5 day stay in Sitka. I cannot recommend them enough. They are also very kind & friendly people! If you love crab, you will not be disappointed. SO Excellent!

Much more expensive ($53/half pound) than I thought from last update ($70/pound – refer to previous photo). Anyway thought would try it since it’s our last chance in Alaska. It tasted ok considering it was frozen but much prefer one fresh lobster cooked in Chinese restaurant with ginger & spring onion in uk for about the same price, table served to you in a restaurant. Why is it so expensive when you consider this is the original place to catch them and on a street food stall standing in the cold.

AMAZING dungenees crab with friendly people, atmosphere and fair price. The crabmeat are so fresh and good you don’t even have to dip it in butter! And the owner is also a very friendly!

If in Sitka AK, make sure you don’t miss out on the Authentic Louisiana Shrimp Etouffee’ (aka chowder to Alaskans) and Louisiana Seafood Gumbo. Guaranteed Best you’ve ever eaten. Bigun is widely known for Comical BS, Bear Wrestling, but mostly for his great Southern Louisiana Cooking. Unfortunately the Crab season was over but I wasn’t disappointed. And most likely, the least expensive meal you’ll have in Sitka.
Stop by the Green Tent on Lincoln in Sitka for truely great food.
