First time here. Staff was friendly. I called my order in with no problem. Menu is short, sweet, and simple. Usually a sign that the food is good lol. I got the “Big Island Gold.” It was ready when I got there. Everything was cooked wonderfully and seasoned well. Nice portions. Well visit again because I want to try their fried selections.

When we went in we were a little skeptical. The inside was a little dark but a very bubbly young lady took our order and was very helpful in helping us decide on our choices. We ordered a crab leg meal and the 2 piece fish meal. My husband and son devoured the crab legs and my fish meal was hot and amazing! It was close to closing time and the same bubbly hostess brought us another clump of crabs and some yummy mini Bundt cakes. The overall experience was amazing!! Highly recommend this hidden jewel.

I’m new to the area and wanted to take my daughter out for crab as it’s one of our favorite foods. I googled several restaurants and this one seemed to have the best reviews. So we were excited as we set out. I’ll start by saying that the food was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, the service and atmosphere was very disappointing. While nice, the girl at the counter who took our order seemed like it was the first time she had ever waited on anyone. We were not given any utensils without asking, including after she brought some silverware I had to ask again for crab tools. Since it’s a crab place you would think that would automatically be brought. The food was absolutely delicious as I said but it was brought on one large platter with no plates for anyone. I had to ask for those and they didn’t come until we were about 3/4 the way through the meal. The entire place was sticky. Everything from the floor to the high chair to the tables. They also got our order slightly mixed up but at least were very nice when we asked them to fix the side dish that they forgot. I never complain at restaurants and didn’t complain that visit. Of course I didn’t really have anyone to complain to as she was the only person I saw other than one other girl who came out to help bring the food. Several people walked in and waited at the counter to order and left because the girl had disappeared into the back and didn’t come out for quite some time. If I order from here in the future it will be take out.

Last Friday August the 4th , my daughter and I choose Crab Island to have an evening seafood meal before she headed off to training to becoming a PT assistant. Our 1st time in this restaurant. But it will not be our last! A lot of good seafood for a decent price.

Crab Island is SO good!!! By far the best seafood restaurant ever. Food quality, taste and presentation were awesome!! The food is scrumptious and filling and extra large portions!! Seasoning was perfect for the seafood!! The restaurant is immaculate and the owner goes beyond expectations to make sure you are extremely satisfied!! We also were given a couple of cheesecake samples that were delicious. We told him we were over 2 hours away and he gave us a small container of his seasoning and sauces to take with us. You will NOT leave hungry. We assured him we would definitely be back!!

Tonight we were the people that I don’t like being. It was 8:39, they close at 9. We asked if we could eat, and the man (i believe he is the owner) was extremely welcoming. The food was FANTASTIC! And very reasonably priced. I’m from FL, and I can say the crab was the best I have had in Memphis, EVER! Thank you guys! I highly recommend and if you don’t eat there, you are missing out! 10 out of 5!
