We ordered the $78 spicy seafood combo for four and went with extra spicy — seriously addictive! The seafood was fresh and sweet, and the numbing, spicy sauce made it even better. We also tried the peppercorn chicken, fried soft-shell crab, and xiaolongbao. The chicken was flavorful with big, tender pieces, and the fried soft-shell crab was amazing — crispy outside, soft inside.

The free side dishes and duck items were a huge highlight — generous, well-seasoned, and definitely not an afterthought. Finished with ice jelly, super satisfying. Clean environment, friendly service, and a great spot for authentic spicy flavors. Highly recommend!

Ordered combo $49.99, selected clams (1lb), snow crab (1pc), fried chicken wings(3pcs), juicy dumpling(4pcs), with garlic butter seasoning. There were plenty clams for 1 lb; snow crab tasted very salty, try to avoid it; fried chicken wings were good, crispy outside, juicy inside; steam dumplings were so so. Highlight of this place is all you can eat side dishes (more than 20 selections), …for free, and they tasted not bad. It was packed around 12:30pm on a Saturday.

I was seriously impressed on my first visit! They offer more than ten free side dishes, and my absolute favorites are the spicy duck heads and duck wings — super authentic flavor, bold and satisfying, and yes… all free. That alone already won me over.
The seafood boil was amazing too — the crab was sweet and fresh, the shrimp perfectly cooked and juicy, and the seasoning was rich without being too salty. You can really taste the quality and freshness in every bite.
Great portions, delicious food, friendly service, and a clean dining environment — what more can I ask for?
Free sides + real spicy flavor + excellent seafood = must-try!
Already recommended to my friends, and I’ll definitely be back!

Been seeing this place called Crab Grabber all over my feed—it’s in East Pasadena right off Rosemead Blvd. So glad there’s finally a solid spot for Cajun-style seafood without the crazy Boiling Crab wait times! Parking is easy and free in the back lot.

What really stands out here is their sauce selection. Beyond the usual Cajun, garlic butter, and lemon pepper, they also have combo sauces and even a Chongqing spicy mala option. We went with the two-person combo and added snow crab legs, choosing the “mix of all above” sauce—it’s definitely the closest I’ve had to that classic Boiling Crab flavor. The snow crab legs were juicy, meaty, and soaked up the sauce perfectly.

But the real surprise was the unlimited sides bar! They have a whole spread of Chinese braised snacks like duck heads, duck necks, duck feet, and pork ears, plus really legit stir-fried dishes. The owner has been making Sichuan-style braised dishes for decades, and you can tell—everything tastes authentic and flavorful.

They also offer complimentary red bean soup, mung bean soup, ice jelly, and taro sweet soup to help cool down from the spice. Such a nice touch!

If you’re craving seafood but also want great Chinese sides in a chill, no-wait environment, this is your spot. Definitely coming back soon!

This is not your average seafood boil place. It’s got a casual vibe, but they greet you with warmth right from the moment you walk in.

First off, you’ll notice they have a free snack bar for all dine in customers. It’s fully stocked with salads, various pickled veggies, Chinese specialties like duck heads and chicken feet, and desserts like sesame balls and jellies.

Secondly, we took a look at the menu and noticed not only do they have seafood boil, but a pretty impressive variety of Chinese cuisine options as well. They even have a House Special Chongqing Numb & Spicy sauce for their seafood boil, in addition to the typical cajun, garlic, and lemon pepper options you usually find.

The real kicker?
The 2 person combo for $44.99 comes with egg, corn, potatoes, broccoli, and 2 seafood items of your choice boiled in one of their signature sauces. And on top of that, it even includes 2 more items from their menu of fried items, which is pretty extensive- wings, calamari, fish, cajun fries, and more!

We chose the soft shell crab and scallion pancake beef rolls for our fried items. For our boil, we got peeled shrimp and snow crab in their House Special Chongqing Numb and Spicy sauce. For $5 extra, we ordered some udon which soaked up the delicious sauce perfectly and paired so nicely with the seafood. We got medium spicy for the sauce and it was so delicious we even dipped the soft shell crab and beef rolls in it

As if that wasn’t already a lot of food, we also ordered from their Chef’s Special menu so we could bring home leftovers. We got the spicy chicken, which is deep fried crunchy pieces of chicken with fried lotus root sticks tossed with spicy numbing peppers. Our son loves this dish so we order it whenever we see it, and this was one of the best versions. We also tried the beef with pickled peppers, and we loved the sour flavors from the pickled bamboo shoots and peppers combined with the tender spicy beef.

After all that spice, we got jelly from the snack bar to cool off.

Thank you to the whole team for making us feel so at home while we dined!

Looking for a unique dining experience that perfectly blends Eastern and Western flavors? Crab Grabber in Pasadena is your next must-visit spot! Start off with unlimited Asian appetizers — yes, you read that right: UNLIMITED cold dishes including salads, spicy duck feet and pig ears, desserts, and much more.

For the main dish, the Cajun seafood is the star — so delicious and perfect to pair with all those appetizers. We also loved their new items, especially the tea-smoked duck.

Really enjoyed this new seafood boil spot in Pasadena! Free parking in the back and the coolest part — all the cold appetizers and duck snacks are totally free as long as you don’t waste food. So rare in LA.

We got the 4-person combo and it was a ton of food. Loved the spicy mix and the garlic butter flavor. The fried sides were fun too — we grabbed wings, fries, and a burrito (surprisingly good!). Pork fried rice also paired well.

Super friendly team, big portions, and I love their sweet policy where seniors 80+ eat free up to $30. Will definitely go back.
