Definitely a better feeling place than Tasty Crab, and the service was outstanding. The Cajun fries and wings that I had didn’t have a lot of Cajun flavoring, but they were okay. My wife enjoyed her boil. Since I’m not a seafood person, I’m not sure how quickly I would be back as there aren’t a lot of choices besides a couple of chicken dishes.

The fried flounder fish basket was great! The fish and fries were hot, crispy and flavorful. The chicken was decent , seasoned well but fried to hard for me. The give you a generous amount so it’s enough to get you full. Good place to try out if you’re in the area.

Disappointing Quality Control and Unwelcoming Service
My recent visit to crab du jour was extremely disappointing due to significant issues with both the food and the overall environment.
The chicken wings we ordered were heavily burnt and charred, rendering them inedible. This suggested a severe lack of quality control in the kitchen.
Furthermore, the restaurant itself appeared noticeably dirty, which created a very unpleasant dining atmosphere. The lack of basic maintenance and cleanliness standards was concerning.
Finally, the experience was compounded by the front-of-house staff. The attendant at the front desk displayed a notably unwelcoming and unengaged demeanor, failing to offer basic hospitality.
Given the poor food quality, cleanliness issues, and unengaged service, I cannot recommend this establishment. I hope management addresses these fundamental concerns.

Maybe one of the worst experiences I have EVER had in a restaurant before and that says a lot. First it took about 20 minutes for any of us waiting in a line to even be acknowledged. Once we finally got a seat and started ordering our drinks the server told us they had no Redbull for the cocktail my partner was ordering. So he ordered something different. 25 minutes go by when our drinks finally come and magically the Redbull drink is there. After our server brought our drinks and took our order that was the last we saw of him for an hour. We were being patient because the servers were clearly overwhelmed. He comes up to us and literally says you’ve been here for so long. Yes I’m aware. He then leaves without giving us a second to speak. 20 more minutes go by we haven’t had drinks refilled so we are hungry and thirsty. We had to ask a different server about our food because I went up to the front and our server looked directly at me and quickly looked away to avoid eye contact. At this point we were mad. Our server finally comes over and tells us something about a 10 percent discount and the kitchen losing our ticket and how the food will be 10 minutes. He also says he’ll bring us water. I grabbed him again after about 25 minutes (no water btw) and told him if our food isn’t done we are leaving. He said just a minute. Another 5 minutes go by we get up to leave. The server asks us about our drinks we haven’t paid for which is the most audacious thing I have ever heard considering they weren’t even right. We left and won’t be back which is sad because we’ve been many times and had a good experience. If you don’t have enough staff for a busy night like Valentine’s Day then close. Our time was completely wasted. crabe du désespoir.

I decided to grab a quick bite at Crab Du Jour Cajun. Which I thought was a much better option than the McDonald’s a few doors down. I liked the decor and the staff seemed pleasant. I had the fish slider(flounder). There were three sliders, and I had them with the Cajun fries. The fish was flaky and moist. They were very tasty and a good value for your buck.

I went for lunch and it was not crowded. Only 4 other tables with customers. The atmosphere is casual with an ocean life/nautical theme. I ordered the fish tacos. There were three of them with assorted sauces. The tacos are made with a fried, battered fish that tasted good.

We ordered Po’ Boys which was a first and we were pleasantly surprised!!! The Hush Puppies were delicious and overall it was well worth the exploration from our normal dining options. We were not expecting how cleanly cooked the fried foods were. They were not greasy at all. Wonderful seafood spot in Dover! With the reasonable pricing I highly recommend this place!

If I could give 0, I would!! Worst staff management I’ve seen in a long time. I ended up getting up and leaving this place. They Need to close this place down until they can have more than 2 waiters.. waited for 2 hours and still no food. The staff was not EVEN APOLOGETIC about EVERYONE waiting ON FOOD AND TO BE SEATED! Staff arguing on the floor in front of customers. Would not recommend

This restaurant is wonderful! Service is wonderful and food is fantastic. Prices are reasonable. Oysters were so fresh and cleaned perfectly! Seafood boil is fantastic. We had the du jour sauce medium. 2 people shared an order of 12 oysters and a combination pot for 3. We had enough left to take home for someone to eat for lunch or dinner tomorrow.
