Pricing is tiered by age, which works well for families—adults pay full price, with discounts for kids based on how old they are (exact breakdowns are posted at the register). Our party of two adults and two children came to $82.44 total (including tax and drinks), which felt fair for the selection and quality. In my opinion, though, the price for 5-and-under could be a bit cheaper since little ones eat so sparingly.
Service was friendly, and the place was clean despite being busy. The tour bus out front hints they get groups, but seating moved quickly. Will definitely return when the craving hits!
That being said, the experience overall is a mixed bag. One of the main concerns is cleanliness. Some areas, especially around the buffet stations and drink dispensers, could be maintained more carefully. While the dining space is functional, it doesn’t feel particularly clean or well-organized, which can take away from the enjoyment of the meal.
As for the food, some dishes are flavorful and satisfying — especially the boiled seafood and fried shrimp — while others can be overcooked, bland, or sitting out too long. The freshness of items seems to vary throughout the day, so timing might affect your experience. The dessert section is average, but it does include some fun treats like soft-serve ice cream and mini cakes.
Service is minimal, as expected in a buffet, but staff are usually available to clear plates and assist when needed.
In short, Crab Du Jour Buffet is not a gourmet destination, but it works if you’re in the mood for lots of food at a reasonable price. It’s the kind of place you visit more for the value and selection than for the atmosphere or cleanliness. With a bit more attention to upkeep and freshness, this spot could become a much better option.
Compared to other buffets, this place really stands out. The prices are amazing, the food is fresh, well maintained, and worth the cost. You eat well for a fair price. Easily 5 stars.
