My husband and I stopped here for lunch on our way home. The food, especially the brisket was soooo good. We have tons of leftovers and the people there were so nice – Thanked us for coming in. I think my favorite by far are the brisket egg rolls! By the way I had the BBQ pulled pork Mac bowl. My husband had the pick 2 meats. We both got an order of 2 egg rolls.

By far the best bbq we have ever had!! The atmosphere was great and customer service was top tier! The owner himself out talking to us and was so freindly! All the staff were so friendly and treated us like family! You know its good when you go to walk in and the people walking out tell you that you’re about to have the best bbq ever! The BBQ pork sandwich is really good and the beef brisket sandwich was good but maybe a little more fatty than I like. BBQ beans good, the potato salad was different. I like selection of BBQ sauces. I’d go back. 2 sandwiches, 2 sides and 2 tap waters was $28

Stopped here for lunch on Saturday while traveling. So glad we found this restaurant. The parking situation had us wondering if we made the right choice. But seeing and smelling the smokers as we walked in was a very good sign. The food we ordered was all very good especially the brisket and the beef sausage. All the sides we tried were good. They have a good selection of local beers. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was great talking with the owner. If I could I would give this place 10 stars. If you are in Cedar Rapids i highly recommend that you visit this restaurant.

Brisket was amazing. Tender with just the right amount of seasoning. They run out because everything is served that fresh, so arriving early is a plus. Potato bowls were fantastic- tasty, savory, and very filling. Macaroni was smokey and delicious. Staff and customer service were top notch. Beers on tap and live music and small outdoor venue for events. The indoor seating area wasn’t large but had a fun vibe – decked out for Halloween this time of year. It’s the kind of local place we love to support – we will definitely be back.

Great new place. The beef ribs were wonderful as well as the brisket and sausage. Smoked mac and cheese side was good. Smoked beans had good flavor but were a little thick and pasty.
If your stomach is bigger than your wallet you might overspend here but if you do, it will be to enjoy some 1st class smoked meat.

We don’t know anything about the food because we never got the chance to try it. We thought we’d try to support a relatively new and locally owned business. I called and wanted to order enough food for roughly 15 people. We didn’t want or need them to cater it. We planned to pick it up. We were told to use the catering website. I said wasn’t interested in that, was told “just a second ” and proceeded to hear a young lady ask someone if they could cook our food for pickup. We offered to prepay that day over the phone and after listening to her ask, I was told that they wouldn’t do that. To say the least I was shocked. Must be doing enough business to be able to say no to several hundred dollars worth of easy money. If I could leave zero stars I would. Instead we called a place in Marion who was happy to take care of us.
