Since moving to their new location, the wait time for take out is extraordinary. I finally planned ahead and was so excited to once again get a CP’s pizza! (I was a die hard fan before and during the pandemic) After my allotted 2 hour wait for take out, I picked up to discover a burnt crust (not a crispy, slightly charred wood-fired crust but an inedible burnt), uneven slices (like ridiculously uneven), and hardly any flavor (pesto was virtually non existent). Can’t express my disappointment. I don’t know that I’ll ever go back and that makes me sad.

This is a takeout review. All food is eaten fresh in the vehicle. I started off with the jambalaya. It had a really nice flavor, plenty of sausage, and it was a good size serving. I then tried the Cajun pasta. Again lots of sausage, a large portion, but I felt lacking in a lot of flavor. I think when I saw Cajun I expected flavoring that wasn’t there. But the reason I came was for the pizza. And it was exceptional. It was what I consider New Haven style and everything about it was great. Perfect crust, great sauce, great toppings. I got the roasted red pepper and sausage and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great great pizza. On a scale of 1-10 this is a 9.1. Pizza alone is 9.7.
Second visit I ordered garlic Knots, pepperoni Pizza, and Cajun pasta. The pasta was very good, nice flavor with great sauce. The garlic knots were excellent, warm, fresh, and very tasty. The pizza was outstanding. I’ve done 615 restaurant reviews on Google maps as of this writing. And this place is one of only eighteen to make it onto my favorites list. It’s just that good. It is well worth the one hour and 40 minute ride to get here.

Best pizza I’ve had in a long time! I went to the new dine in restaurant last night with my family and the pizza was absolutely phenomenal! We got a garden salad, it was very fresh and delicious. Then for the best part the pizza, we got the pepperoni, Hawaiian, Chicken Pesto and the 4 cheese pizza. We were all just blown away, cooked to perfection, burnt edges, so fresh. Even though we were all full we could have eaten another piece, made great leftovers later on. Great local beers! Also my husband has a gluten sensitivity and he got zero indigestion. Chris was there making the pizzas for us; you can just see the love he has for his work. Always a smile on his face and you can taste the love with every bite! We will definitely be back!

Sadly, Pancetta pizza was a bust
Generous amount of peppers and sausage as well as uncooked slices of bacon!
When I called to share my thoughts on this pizza I was told it was pancetta and I could ask for it double cooked next time.

Pictured is the marinara pizza (cheese-less) with roasted garlic, mushrooms, red peppers and cooked well done on my request. It was amazing. Absolutely love this place and the staff. The pizza is amazing such that I’ve ordered from them 5-6 times in the past few weeks. Expect fantastic pizza crust consistency. Crunchy outer shell with a soft interior and thin overall so you don’t get a mouth full of bread. Sauce is very traditional style and not overly spiced or sweetened, think crushed tomato flavor. The toppings are always super fresh and full of flavor. On top of that, the staff are all very friendly, and welcoming and quick to bring a smile to my face when entering the business. Best pizza I’ve had in some time, and better than what I used to make in my days of managing Italian restaurants. 5 stars easy!!

Grabbed a pizza as I was working locally and my crew kept saying how great the place smelled. Pizza was great for the ride home. The owner was great and rhe place looked like it would be perfect to have a drink, enjoy a and catch a game.

Went in to order a take out pizza and the young man that was absolutely clueless! Asked me what I wanted without providing a menu and when I asked him for one, he proceeded to take one off some folks having dinner’s table. He then proceeded to try and enter my order into the computer system, which he didn’t seem to know how to do, so I entered my own order. I had to ask someone else how long for my order and the told me about 25 minutes. I my pizza in about 10 minutes and it was completely burnt to a blackened crisp! I took and it went into the compost bin! We had ordered pizza from then before the new location without any issues. Won’t go back and would not recommend. One and done for this location!

I second the other reviews with the crust being incredibly doughy and tough to chew. I was excited to try this place because of the rave reviews I’ve heard but after trying it I just don’t see it. I found the pizza to be very soggy, picking up a slice of cheese just slid right off, disappointing!

I was excited to try this but was extremely disappointed for the tough crust burnt pizza I received. The dough was near impossible to chew and the chicken was chokingly dry. The taste was there past the dryness but was not very enjoyable to eat.
