With our first ever visit, we were pretty disappointed! We walked In and bellied up to the bar to eat. We both ordered burgers, “med well” and they both came out VERY WELL DONE! It was not only over cooked, the size and quality of meat was terrible and the fries and tots tasted freezer burnt.
Now, after we get our food, my wife usually cuts her burgers in half and she did so. She was getting ready to take a bite and noticed a piece of hair between the burger and the bottom bun. She asked if it could be remade and they did so. By the time it was finished I was already finishing my food. We were the only people eating in there so idk why it took so long to cook a thin burger and tots. I’m a slow eater and it still came out after I was finishing up. The bartender wasn’t very apologetic or she seemed like it wasn’t a big deal.
My wife barely ate her food and the bartender asked how it was, my wife replied, both our burgers were overcooked, very dry and as hard as a hockey puck! Her answer was, ya!
Now, I can see the food not really being hi quality because it’s a small resort bar but when you walk out paying $37 (Not included the $7 tip) for 2 burgers with fries and 2 sodas, you would think It would be a satisfying bar burger, it was far from it! And what tops it all off is that she didn’t even offer a discount or at the very least a sincere apology for the hair that was in the burger. Not sure about the other items on the menu but if the burger is a main item on the menu and that wasn’t good, It’s hard to imagine anything else would be satisfying! ♂️

Tried the chicken, absolutely nothing wrong with the fried chicken. As Guy Fieri would say, I can’t put it in my mouth fast enough. Perfect central Minnesota fried chicken. You could twist citrus or smoke, but, it’s the real deal. Cold slaw, I adjusted with white balsamic and white pepper. The white pepper hides, play the audience. I elevated it. Simple buns with melted salted butter. Work all day in heat and humidity. That was a taste of heaven, bread and salted butter. This is solid. Packaging rake out. Chicken down, paper layer, sweet potato fries on one side. Don’t place chicken on top of those crispy beautiful fries. Solid meal. I will again and again. No photos, I demolished it. Chicken is the real deal.

First of all. the view of the lake was perfectly calming, and it is in a wonderful location inside the campground with a screened-in area to overlook the water .
I Love that !
As for the food ,
Man those sweet potato fries are freaking good. I got a BLT that hit the spot & a burger patty for my doggies , that was pretty darn big. We were traveling for the day to check out some local for sale opportunities on the premises.
It was a great day and great community .
They were doing BINGO as well, and the servers were extremely nice! Come tip these local seasonal workers!

Great place to eat on the lake in their screened patio. Had the night’s special, Dad’s Broasted Chicken, and it was very good. Will be going back to try something else on the menu this summer and enjoy the sunset from the patio.
