We came here thanks to the recommendation of someone who LOVES Cozy Thai! And we are now hooked as well! The vibe/atmosphere is really fun and low-key. The decor is engaging, nostalgic, and made for wonderful dinner conversation with my son! It was fun to swap stories about things he recognized and things that were from my childhood! The staff were fantastic! So kind and continually checking if we needed anything. And the food…. The food was some of the best Thai we have ever eaten (and we are Thai food snobs)! Apologies for not recalling the exact names of everything we ate, but we had the appetizer sampler (everything was delicious), the spicy chicken with vegetables (also delicious), and the salmon with vegetables and rice (very, very good). We also ordered Strawberry Mango and Mango Lemonade mocktails and they were beautiful and tasted divine! We will definitely be back on our next trip!

THESE PEOPLE WILL SCAM YOU. DO NOT EAT HERE. The lady at the desk will give you a receipt that is not itemized, and will ask you to pay. What they don’t tell you is that they will add a 20 percent tip on there, so that you will accidentally tip twice. When I realized that my price was a little higher than expected, I asked for the itemized bill which she was very reluctant to provide. Then when the itemized bill was done being printed, before I can see, she takes the bill and cuts off the bottom with scissors. I have never seen this behavior before in a restaurant and was so confused. Then she tries to explain to us the items we bought, but when we looked at the total we were being charged 12 dollars more than what we ordered. when I asked her what the tax was here. She said 11 percent, but we had close to 12 dollars overcharged from this 11 percent!!! This kind of behavior is unacceptable and quite frankly gross. Doing dishonest business is not a way for a company to retain customers and they should be honestly ashamed of themselves. THE FOOD WAS BAD TOO, the chicken tasted like it was a week old, and everything was too fried

I have been coming to this place for over a decade until recent year or so. Today I found out they moved. When I called to place the order, the owner who is the same rude person people are talking about in these reviews, answered and was so impatient, rude and kept putting me on hold.
There is not much difference in prices in their lunch menu Vs. their reg. This woman is so nasty!! She was always rude but now she is worse! God forbid you ask her a question, she cancelled my order because I asked her a question while she put me on hold 3 times. When I asked her why she cancelled my order on her own without me asking her, she told me “I thought you weren’t interested” why because I asked a question about your menu? She is crazy! I had to wait some more.
This rudey prudy doesn’t even greet her customers when they walk in. On top of all this their prices are twice as much and they give to the smaller portion of food than before! They charge me extra for rice, she rudely told me the rice is not included with my $15 curry dish! What thai place charges separate for rice?? The only good part was my daughter has celiac and now they have added gluten free to the Menu. Since mine was a takeout for lunch, my daughter later tried it and told me she loved the pad tai.
After 15 years, I give up on this place!

I was very grateful for a last minute delivery when I realized I couldn’t eat at an event because I have Celiac. I was able to order and get delivery. They came earlier than original time frame which was great. The taste was great and veggies were fresh. The chicken and shrimp were cooked properly and I wish y’all were in NC! I’ll get takeout next time I’m in town. This restaurant does gluten free well!

Had the Dragon Ball, iced Thai coffee and chicken fried rice. Interior is fun and nostalgic, with lots of comic books and toys lining the walls. Service was left to be desired. Waited to be seated for a long time, and did not feel welcomed. Very awkward and confusing. Would not recommend.

Food was great, but service was super awkward and uncomfortable. My partner and I took our nine year old and her friend to eat here. The woman who was serving was constantly hovering over us. She took the light fixture on the table off because we turned it on, and she said it was too fragile for that. She told my daughter not to play with the flower that came out on the plate of food. She took my daughter’s bowl out of her hands because she thought my daughter would break it. We felt uncomfortable just being in there as people with kids. It was super weird. I would order takeout, but I will not be back in person.

CHARGED A “MANDATORY” 20% GRATUITY “for a party of 5”—my 3 kids and my mother. It’s actually illegal to charge a mandatory gratuity without letting your customers know up front. This is not the type of place to charge a mandatory gratuity anyway—these are $10-$20 plates. This isn’t a high
End restaurant. The “gratuity” was ironic since the server never brought the rice that goes with the chicken curry. She specifically asked if I wanted white or brown rice with it, and I said white, and I just never got it. She didn’t come back to check on us til we were done. The vibe was a little off/odd too and it was overly quiet for the setting, even tho about half the restaurant was full. Flavor wise the food was good—not gourmet. It is a pretty setting but I understand why people have said the things they’ve said about this place, and we won’t be back.

Tamarind crispy duck was tangy and tasty! Crispy skin and tender meat 🙂 but the service was bad and they still sneaked in 20% gratuity fee without informing us. The fee was also applied on the bill that was not itemized, so it was impossible to notice.
The server (the lady at the counter) did not have a service mind. The attitude was off the entire time with impolite eye rolling gestures and short answer responses. Was not accommodating our big group, I simply asked if they had khao soi and she said just order from the menu and didn’t care to explain, and made us walk all the way to the register to pay when other tables paid at their own tables. The experience from the start to the end felt uncomfortable. Cozy needs A LOT of improvement on service

Nice atmosphere and decent food, but horrible service. Waitress was very rude to me and my group and snuck in a ~20% included tip (with no itemized list) which I only found out about by reading other reviews. That’s just wild. She told me they didn’t have chopsticks … at a Thai restaurant?? Really?? She didn’t even let us pay with separate checks—she said 2 credit cards per table. Would’ve been a decent experience had I not felt so disrespected and almost scammed.

I usually like it and last visit was just ok, the orange chicken did not taste the same. Some items were charged as sides, maybe dinner dishes are different than lunch. Hopefully next time I can enjoy more as usual.
