Had an amazing dinner with the family last night! I work for a Korean company and have visited Seoul before. Cozy Kimchi’s food was some of the most authentic I’ve had in this area! We will definitely be back again!

Beautiful place with a gorgeous, high-ceilinged and well-decorated interior, but most importantly with Korean food worth driving for! This was the Korean place I was looking for on the North Shore – everything is beautiful and well-prepared. I thought the tteokbokki was fantastic and we loved the kimchi mandu, the vegetable pancake was awesome, and our dolsot bibimbap came out with the bowl hot enough to actually crisp the rice. I tried to order enough for multiple meals but ate most of everything there.

So good! Cozy small place to eat. I got the bibimbap which was my first time trying the dish ever. Great first impression. Best miso soup I have ever tasted and ginger tea was soo tasty with the nuts in it. I almost never finish my plates when I eat out but I couldn’t stop eating. My boyfriend is a picky eater and finished his plate as well. Highly recommend!

I cannot stress enough how great of an experience this was. The food was fantastic, the staff were very welcoming, and everything flowed so well. Our group got the kimchi fried rice, tteok-bokki, shumai, udon, bibimbap, and bulgogi and all were absolute hits.

Lovely setting, lovely service, and delicious authentic food! A favorite place for me to visit, when I’m in the area.

Pictured is the kalguksu, a delicious soup with a mild anchovy broth, and hand-cut noodles.

Tried this place for the first time over the weekend and it was AWESOME! They make their own kimchi in house, nothing artificial added. The two sisters are adorable and offered great service. There were gluten free & dairy free options for me. I had the miso soup, kimchi fried rice with a jujube hot tea- will absolutely be coming back! I highly recommend this place to others

Cozy Kimchi exceeded my family’s expectations! Every dish we had was delicious, full of flavor and we wiped our plates clean. We got the mandu, scallion pancake (melted in my mouth), bulgogi beef, teriyaki chicken and the stone pot bibimbap. You can tell the food was freshly prepared and seasoned so well. Our server was very kind and we will definitely be back!

This spot is a hidden gem for anyone craving authentic Korean food. The highlight for us was the homemade kimchi — incredibly flavorful and clearly made with care. We ordered the kimchi udon and fried Man Du, and both dishes were delicious.

The atmosphere is cozy and quiet — perfect for a relaxed meal — and the service was excellent from start to finish. It was our first visit, but definitely won’t be our last. Highly recommend!

Home-style Korean cuisine in Newburyport.

On our way to NH, our family made a stop in Newburyport for a late lunch. As suggested by its name, the restaurant radiated a warm, welcoming vibe, perfectly aligned with its focus on Korean comfort food. The place was run by two Korean sisters who took immense pride in their house-made kimchi—and rightfully so. The kimchi here leaned toward the aged and acidic side, which made it the ideal ingredient for their Kimchi pancakes. My parents, who have high standards when it comes to Kimchi pancakes, said they were some of the best they’ve had, even when compared to the ones they enjoy in Seoul.

Among the entrées we tried, our favorites were the Dol Sot Bibimbap and the Eel Rice. The Dol Sot Bibimbap, compared to the regular version, had those proper crispy bits at the bottom that added an extra layer of texture. Other entrées were also solid, but not too different from the ones you could get at typical Korean restaurants in the US. Since Koreans typically minimize the use of salt in their home-style cooking, some of the entrées we tried might seem a bit bland by American standards. However, they were perfect for my parents, who prefer this level of seasoning. For me, a few bites of their kimchi in between each bite did the trick.

We enjoyed the Kimchi pancakes so much that we came back the following day for another round, and they were just as fantastic as the first time. Despite the long drive from Boston, I would gladly make the trip again just to get their Kimchi pancakes.
