Excellent food and service. Mexican Hot Chocolate and horchata were great. The meat skillet and breakfast burritos had a lot of flavor. All our over eggs were cooked to perfection. Our waiter Rodrigo was very helpful and provided great service. Everything was top notch. The spealcial Abuelita pancakes we perfection according my wife and daughter.

The food at Cozy Corner is actually pretty good, but the pricing structure felt like a bait and switch experience.
I stopped in for a quick sandwich and asked the server what the best option was for something fast and reasonably priced. I was told that the patty melt was a good deal. I specifically asked what came with it for the listed price of $11.99 and was told clearly that it included both the sandwich and fries. Based on that explanation, I agreed that it was a fair deal and placed the order.
When the food arrived, the sandwich was only room temperature and not hot, and the fries were somewhat cold as well. I was hungry and did not want to make a big issue at the time, so I ate the meal.
When I received the check, I was honestly shocked. There was an additional six dollar charge added, labeled as a value meal, essentially charging me extra for the fries that I had already been told were included. When I questioned this, I was told that it was Saturday and that prices fluctuate similar to Uber or Lyft. That explanation made no sense to me, especially since I had asked upfront what was included in the price.
When I reiterated that I was told the meal included fries, the person handling the situation simply put their hands up and said there was nothing they could do, stating that if you get fries, that is considered a meal deal and costs more.
The way this situation was handled felt very shady and dismissive. Transparency matters, and customers should not be surprised with extra charges after being told one thing at the time of ordering. If you decide to eat at this location, I strongly recommend being cautious, asking for everything in writing on the menu, and double checking prices before ordering, because I personally felt misled as a customer. A group of 7 or 8 of us stopped in on a Saturday late morning/early afternoon! We waited for about 15 mins for a table which I think is super reasonable for a group of that size. The servers & hostess were quick and attentive! The food was all delicious, and there’s a great variety between sweet & savory.
✨ Bonus: they have excellent chocolate milk, and there are clear partitions between the booths, so although it is noisy, you can easily have conversations. ✨

Came in on Sunday at 1pm, waited about 20 minutes to be seated at the counter. Service was really friendly even considering how busy it was. Food was great taste and portions. So many more items we’d like to try on the menu here! Loved the chocolate chip pancakes and carnitas skillet. Bill was $45 including tip.

We recently visited Cozy Corner Restaurant & Pancake House in Wicker Park after seeing it recommended as a brunch spot, and we were excited after checking out the online menu. It didn’t disappoint! Parking was a breeze with a convenient lot right next to the restaurant, making it stress-free from the start.
From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the friendliest server we’ve encountered in Chicago. She not only made us feel welcome but also gave us amazing recommendations, encouraging us to try some new dishes that were her personal and customer favorites. And wow, the moment we tasted the food, we fell in love—it was absolutely delicious!
They also have a bakery up front with small bakery bites that are just as good. A quick tip: they sell out fast, so order those as soon as you arrive, not later!

Be aware there is a wait since we did go on the weekend it will be a 15 to 20min wait. Once your called in you say down and your order is taken pretty fast. As soon as the food came the sausage link caught my eye. Very delicious. The pancakes had a nice flavor nothing to special but still good. The sandwich and fries tasted okay as well. You will be satisfied at the end. The service is very nice.
