Had an amazing experience here. The Pollo Ranchero was perfectly seasoned and tender, the rice and beans were flavorful (not bland like some places), and the homemade tortillas really made a difference. The guacamole tasted fresh, and you can tell they care about quality. Great atmosphere, clean space, and solid service by Ignacio. Highly recommend if you’re craving authentic Mexican food.

But first, you enter through the Motel 6. The unappealing exterior almost turns you off. We actually chose to pass it by and stop at the adjacent Applebee’s. Thank the Lord there was a long wait at Applebee’s because we decided to roll the dice with Cozumel.
Authentic, Mexican atmosphere. Spacious dining room. Friendly, professional staff. Extensive menu.
If you’ve seen my other reviews, you know that I’m looking for a dining experience more than just a meal. Cozumel did not disappoint.
We were seated quickly and immediately greeted by our smiling, professional, friendly waiter with warm, fresh tortilla chips, a small decanter of salsa, and a couple small bowls for salsa sharing. Nice touch!
A mango margarita was ordered and arrived at the table in less than 2 minutes. Amazing. It was like they knew!!
The entrees arrived very quickly and were all hot, fresh, and authentic Mexican fare. There was simply nothing to critique. Honestly, this was just good, honest, well-prepared food.
Okay, one critique. The salsa. I don’t like cilantro. I didn’t taste any. I love black pepper. I tasted it in their salsa more so than any other salsa I’ve ever had. It was very good…for me. My companions didn’t enjoy it as much as I did. It’s not that they didn’t like it, just that it wasn’t their favorite. I love the choice they made with it, others might not. There, critique.
Delicious meal. Inviting environment. Friendly, courteous staff. Reasonable price (roughly $25/person) for portion size that filled us all.
If you’re in the Clarion area and are in the mood for good, Mexican food (or food in general) don’t let the exterior of the Motel 6 dissuade you from trying Cozumel. You won’t regret it.

Used to go here almost every week for their Cozumel fajitas.
A couple years ago the price was $15.99- it kept going up. Last time I visited, it was $19.99 and half of the portion it was two years ago.
They likely have lost a lot of money by reducing their portions of fajitas, etc.
Too bad. The food was excellent but reducing the portions cost them much business unfortunately. Haven’t been back for months because of if.

CONZUMEL Mexican Restaurant. Is s very family oriented atmosphere. The food is top notch, very delicious dishes! The food comes in fast and ready to eat. They are hard working individuals and accept children of all ages as their own! Definitely come here i want to keep coming back!!!

This place is great. I have been coming for years. My wife likes even more than me. Food tast great the people are just awesome. The prices are fair. SORRY ABOUT THE HALF EATEN PLATS. JUST TO GOOD TO WAIT.

I thought this was the worst Mexican food I ever had, and reminded me why I didn’t think I liked Mexican as a child, then I moved west. I tried to dishes and they were bland as heck. I was very disappointed, margirita was good though….and the staff was nice .
