Great little Mexican restaurant with a couple of local sister locations. Fairly comprehensive menu with nothing too outlandish. Our server was great. He was dealing with an influx on a Friday night, but never ceased to give outstanding service. Food was fresh and tasty and the prices were fair. Decor is typical Mexican restaurant fare but clean and bright. Will definitely eat here again!

We go to the Cozumel location in Whitewater, WI several times a year. We always enjoy their authentic Mexican menu. The service is always good and the quality and quantity of food is awesome. We often celebrate family birthdays here which usually includes a large sombrero for the birthday person to wear during the singing of happy birthday by the staff to the birthday person.

It’s hard for me to give 5 stars to something. This place was a classic Mexican restaurant experience for Wisconsin. Good chips and salsa. The burrito I got was massive and delicious, but I felt it was a little on the pricy end. Nothing stand out about Cozumel, but definitely good eats.

Stopped in for dinner on. Saturday evening! They were pretty busy and had a couple of groups in the back. We were seated right away. Server came over relatively quick, but was completely uninterested in serving us, in fact he spent most of the time he was taking our order looking behind him. Asked to start with the chili con carne, it was good, but came with our dinners and NOT as an appetizer, of course by then we had been sitting so long (they were pretty busy) we were in need of beverage refills so we didn’t even get a chance to say we had wanted the chili con carne appetizer, it IS listed under appetizers and we specifically asked to “start with”. Needless to say, it was good, but we weren’t able to enjoy it cuz it came with our entrees which was too much to eat all at one. I had ordered the Fiesta Chimichanga. It was a deep fried chimichanga with chicken, steak and shrimp in it covered with cheese sauce. It was good, definitely hot and fresh, was a bit disappointed there were only 2 shrimps in the entire thing, but still had great flavor!
Server took awhile to come back and check on us, we ordered the fried ice cream for dessert. That took a bit to get, but so worth the wait totally delicious!
The bill was brought to us by the young lady at the register, she also helped us with boxes etc.

So sad to be writing this review as I have been a customer at Cozumel for years. Not sure if they’re under new ownership or what happened, but it has been going downhill fast. Food has been making us sick, the seating is so tight, and the prices are sky high. Not to mention the mediocre service the past couple of times we have been there. Sad to see this happening to a great restaurant.

Stopped here after the UWWhitewater football game. Our son is attending UWW and we took him to dinner. Even though it was really busy, we had great service, quick food and fantastic tasting food. We had enchiladas and burritos….. Super flavorful and tender chicken in mine. I also had a yummy Pina colada. We will be back.
