Moving on, the pizza was amazing! Thin crust, little to no grease, tasteful slices and a decent price. Ordered my two pepperoni slices and walked out within minutes, however I can’t comment on how long it takes to make a pizza as I’ve only been here once. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re looking for good food on a road trip!
The day before on January 8, 2026, my boss went to order us pizza for our work meeting. I the morning he stopped by my office to hand me the receipt for pick up on January 9, 2026. I asked what time he stated 1230. I stated great I will leave at 1215 to head over. He then asked “how were you treated before when you ordered pizzas” I ask why, he then described the lady and said “she was very rude, tort in tone and acted like it was a bother to take the order”. I was no that’s not any of the people I delt with, weird. Everyone was great in the prior years, very strange. Well my boss was not impressed.
At 1215 I got up from the meeting to drive over to get the pizzas. I walk in, at first I could not see any one the area is very blocked with clothes hanging in the front and other items. So I go and stand at the counter. The lady my boss describes walks over and grabs the pizzas and verbally states what each one is. I had the receipt out. I said 5 pizzas, “she was torture and said yes” like it was a bother I had questioned. I showed her the receipt I guess the way it printed confused me a bit, I thought it was four, she again went over the reception this way. She named each pizza then showed me at the bottom the prices were for tips, for giving her tips. The whole time her demeanor was rude, tone tort and bothered. I said ok thank you. This time I was not offered warmer bags, plates, napkins, pepper seasoning, not even an offer to help carry out. Just no friendly attitude at all. I put the receipt back in my pocket.
**As she walked away, please note she was wearing gloves but touched my receipt, then swipped her back hand with glove on across her nose and forehead, then went to work on more pizzas without changing gloves. ICK**
As I was leaving she was mumbling then states real lound that I DID NOT TIP!
I did not place order I was just picking up. Tips are based on experience, customer service, attitude etc. Even if it was me whom placed the order after all that I would not of tipped. Mind you this was lunch hour store was busy, I was embarrassed as I walked out.
When I got back to work, I called my boss out of meeting explained what happed but I asked if he tipped when he paid? He stated NO, he was treated very disrespectful and, wanted to get my take in the am because I had never described behavior like that in the past. I always stated how pleased I was with service so he was confused. I told him I was embarrassed, it’s ok I would not of tipped either.
The pizzas I believe had been sitting a bit and was not as good as what we have had before. That was general conceses from employees.
Now on all our other orders prior we tipped, service was amazing! When I did the ordering I tipped well.
After lunch and our meeting we had a talk and decided, we will go elsewhere the next time or do something different.
I am not sure where the amazing people are that I worked with before, you need them back.
The crust and the taste of the pizza and the garlic knots was amazing. Clean and customer service from Angie was great.
I cannot express enough how unbelievably disappointing my recent experience at Coyote Pizza Den was. We decided to order online to take advantage of the 10% discount, but unfortunately, the entire process turned into a nightmare.
Upon arriving at Coyote Pizza Den, we were handed someone else’s order. After immediately alerting the staff about it we were told it would take another 20 minutes to correct the mistake, we, unfortunately, couldn’t wait due to having a baby with us. In an attempt to resolve the issue, we suggested taking the one correct pizza and receiving a refund for the products that weren’t prepared since the staff desired a partial refund rather than a complete one. We figured we could take the correct pizza instead of it going to waste. What followed was a 20 to 25-minute ordeal, during which the manager displayed an appalling level of stinginess in handling the situation. The partial refund we received wasn’t even the correct amount.
By the time we left Coyote Pizza Den, the pizza we ended up with was cold, and more than 25 minutes had passed since the initial mistake. The time it took to rectify the error was utterly sickening. Ultimately, we ended up receiving a full refund and chose to leave everything behind, feeling utterly disgruntled and disrespected.
Additionally, during our wait, I observed one of the workers preparing pizzas with the strings from their hooded sweatshirt dangling into each pizza they made.
I must note that the staff members at Coyote Pizza Den were kind and apologetic throughout the ordeal. It was clear that they were doing their best to manage a difficult situation, and I appreciate their efforts. However, the manager’s neglectful and stingy handling of the situation was unacceptable. Their failure to provide an adequate refund for their blunder and their overall mismanagement of the situation was truly disheartening. I also did not like hearing that a brand new worker was left there alone for an extended period of time just because it was slow.
In conclusion, I strongly advise anyone considering dining at Coyote Pizza Den to think twice. The unprofessionalism and incompetence displayed by the manager are simply inexcusable. Save yourself the trouble and seek dining experiences elsewhere.
