The food was absolutely amazing! The biscuits and gravy were some of the best we’ve ever had. What really made it stand out was the portion size, so big for the price. My boyfriend and I could’ve easily shared one meal, and we left completely satisfied.

One of the best Country Fried Steaks that I’ve ever had. Was visiting the area from West LA and had this diner on my list for quite some time. I had heard only great things so I was excited to check it out. Based on my experience, I can say it really is awesome and worth the trip even if you are not from the area. It’s a true down home, local country diner in Santa Ana. They have a giant menu filled with all sorts of American diner classics and I was really happy to see that they have great service as well. Our server was extremely polite, very helpful, and everything that we ordered came out very fast. There is a large free parking lot attached so parking was super easy and I was able to find a space a few feet from the front door. Inside is also fairly small, but in a cozy way. They did not have any outdoor seating from what I saw, but many different types of indoor seating from booth, to table, to counter.

For my first visit, I want to try their Country Fried Steak because I had heard they are famous for it. It was honestly great. The steak was very tender, and not overly fried. Too many places cook it for too long. The breading was also not too thick, so it did not take away from the meaty flavor. It was also a very large sized portion, and the gravy on top was really good, it did not taste like it came from a can.

I would say this is a great diner option and I would definitely put on my list to repeat. I would suggest to anyone in the area or to anyone passing through looking for a great classic SoCal diner.

Our first time here, there is no shortage of cowboy pictures and cowgirl decor. This place is busy, but all the people who worked there were super nice and asked if I had been helped already.
I placed my order and just took in the ambiance. It’s not your basic diner or brunch spot. It had a character of its own.
Our to go order was pretty simple today:

1. Country fried steak and eggs with house potatoes and banana bread – Country fried steak was good. Just like you’d expect it to be. House potatoes, the lady who took my order, highly recommended, but potatoes weren’t cooked all the way. Banana bread is not something to pass up.

2. County omelette – This was amazing it was hearty and meaty. It had bacon and sausage with chees that had that pull. Hash browns were perfectly cooked, and pancakes were thick and buttery.

Overall a great experience, I highly recommend coming early.

This is a good breakfast diner. I ordered the rodeo with the biscuits and gravy. My husband ordered the short stack. It was the perfect amount of food for the two of us to share. The pancakes were fluffy, piping hot, and delicious. Definitely visit here for the pancakes. We definitely preferred them to the biscuits and gravy. We also had good customer service. This place is worth a visit.

Great tasting food, but was a little disappointed by the lack of carnitas in the chilaquiles (see pic). Also, false advertisement on the menu, as the meal did NOT come with tortillas, just the chips that were already part of the dish.

Service was ok, but waiters hardly paid attention because they were too busy rushing around.

Overall, great quality food, even if not quite as advertised, with ok service. Would definitely eat here again though, because it was delicious!

Highlights: Great food , fresh, clean, needs more space

Detailed review: nice place to eat breakfast. The orange juice is fresh with a big slice of orange. Not bad portions for the price but my favorite breakfast dish from here is the biscuits and gravy they’re not dry or overly salted biscuit was nice a flaky and fresh while the gravy was thick and creamy didn’t taste like those store bought biscuits , not like other places do and heat up with the gravy not like that at all. definitely would come back.

Dislikes: does need to be bigger if they can make a outdoor dinning where the trees are that would make it better for seating.

Came from Canada and decided to look up the local breakfast restaurants and this location peeked my interest, more of a cozy, smaller restaurant which always tends to have the best food.

Which it did! The food was delicious, eggs were done perfectly to my liking, plenty of home fries, the sausage/bacon was delicious and the pancakes hit the spot!

The most impressive thing here was the quality of service, the staff were incredibly kind, fast and courteous, coffee refills were fast and plenty, from the time I ordered , the food must’ve came within 5 mins, it felt so quick .

If I am ever back in California, I’m definitely coming here again

Really well made diner/cafe with a big inspiration of Mexican cowboys, all the waitresses and waiters speak Spanish and English. The food was well made and arrived quickly. I had the John Wayne Breakfast and Banana Bread

Had some pretty good country breakfast. The biscuit was ok, but the rest of it hit the spot on a Saturday morning! The server offered homemade spicy salsa which kicked it up a notch! Atmospheric was awesome, plenty of locals and families, a sign that this place is a keeper.
