Driving through town and found this awesome little café for lunch. We were greeted and seated right away. The employees were kind and respectful. Our server made sure we had everything we needed the whole time.

We ordered two meals: one was the Club Sandwich, and the other was the Monte Cristo. Both came with sides. We ordered the hush puppies and fried okra. Everything was delicious! I couldn’t even finish my Club Sandwich and had to bring half of it home.

The place is clean, cozy, and has that small-town country charm. I definitely recommend stopping by. I know I’ll be back soon!

We were traveling through to Dallas and decided to stop in. We’re so glad we did! Its unassuming for sure, but a gem. Friendly staff, delicious food and decent pricing.

First of all I am very, very particular about fried catfish; meaning it has to be flavorful, crispy, but not overly battered. Wife & I headed to Sanger to eat catfish at Babes but driving by Cowboys & recalling how good their CFS is, we aborted our decision to go a few blocks further to go to Babes.

So glad we did because the catfish, mashed potato’s/brown gravy & green beans were so good. Brought a piece home and had it today for lunch. Still very good. This restaurant does not have the hoopla that Babes has but the catfish is just as good and a lot cheaper.

Service was very friendly and attentive. The only thing I don’t like about it is that there are no windows in the main dining room. But because of the food and friendly service, I still chose to give Cowboys Sanger a 5 STAR. Afterall it’s Sanger not Dallas or Fort Worth

Love the country atmosphere. The waitress was adorable. Not crowded. Food was great and quickly came out! The country music was really nice. Not loud here at all.

I only knocked it by one star because I don’t think it’s a good idea to have rows of tables in the front window right next to the restrooms. Otherwise, the food is exactly what you’d expect in a small town diner. The service is always smiling and helpful and is really quaint inside. This would be a good place to stop for a relaxed bite when you don’t have a specific craving. Get the liver and onions!

I was there picking up mine & my daughter’s lunch that I had called in & ordered. The young lady who was Hispanic that was there working was great however the grown adult (female) working there needs to learn that when you are working in the public you are to treat everyone with respect & kindness & to know that you are setting an example for this young lady of how you are treating each & every customer that walks in the restaurant. Also for the adult female you need to know that when putting to go orders in a bag flatware & napkins are a necessity especially for restaurants that have to go orders. I would not want my daughter to be treated the way this grown adult female treated me. Friday at 12pm is when I was on my way back to the barn.
