Cowboy Sally’s has always had heart — and now it’s got some fresh fire. Leading the kitchen
is new Executive Chef Steele DePew, whose bold vision brings Southern comfort food
with serious edge. While the iconic brisket and pulled pork remain, they now share the
spotlight with orange-glazed duck breast, Coca-Cola braised short ribs, Southern
shrimp & grits, and other inventive new dishes.
It’s soulful. It’s unexpected. And it’s served with swagger.

My family went here for some brunch on a Sunday around noon. Not too crowded. Our server was Kristin, she took very good care of us and explained some of the menu items. We sat inside and still had lots of views outside very open with lots of windows. We started off with two orders of Beignets one with chocolate sauce the other with raspberry sauce, both were delicious and complimented each other. For our mains I had the southern slap, very unique southern twist on the egg sandwich it was delicious and the roasted potatoes that came with it could be a main by themselves. My wife had the Sunday sinner, she said it was fluffy and delicious. Others in our group had The Belle & The Brine, Shortcake Honey and Pour Some Creme Brulee on Me. Everyone loved their food. We’ll be back for sure!

Went to the Liberty Township area for brunch. The original restaurant we were going to had an hour and half wait, so we looked around and found Cowboy Sally’s. We were nervous since we never heard of it and again when there weren’t many people there… But… We were very happy to have ended up there! Natalie was our server and the minute we walked in she was welcoming and at our beckon whim. There were 6 of us, one person of our group has a nut allergy and Natalie didn’t hesitate to make the right calls to ensure he was safe. She kept it waters refilled and and made sure we were happy thru out our meal.
The food was amazing!!!! We all ordered something different and everything was so delicious!! We will definitely be back for more!!
Thanks Natalie and Cowboy Sally’s. You made our day

Loved brunch. Pancakes are massive. Main Character Energy cocktail was !!! The Holler Benny was Chef’s Kiss. Didn’t like the washroom much, but it was clean and I appreciated that. Also, they didn’t put pickled onions on my to-go order and didn’t give me a side of sauce as requested. I’d still try them out again.

First time here and it didn’t disappoint. We had the pork sandwich and strawberry pancakes (not sure what the menu name for it was). They recommended a side of jalapeño ranch for the sandwich and I would say that’s a must. Have my sandwich a bit of a kick. Ordered pot pie and salmon to go and will do a review on that once we get home. We are about two hours away and always make a day trip somewhere to taste local food and shops. We had the beignets with the caramel and raspberry sauce which were delicious. Only thing I would say about the beignets are they are quite small.

We came in on a Saturday evening and were quoted a 30-minute wait. We were seated in 15 minutes. Our server Josh was fantastic! He was knowledgeable of the menu and checked on us frequently.
I had the pulled pork sandwich with mac and cheese. The pulled pork was a bit dry, but with the coleslaw and bbq sauce, the sandwich was really good. My husband had the burger with fries and thought his food was great, also. The best part was the cornbread! Definitely order it as an appetizer or a side!
One suggestion: get bigger cups! The drink cups are cute but very small, which means you need refills often. Luckily, our server was very attentive, but I can see where this could potentially be a problem.

Really nice place. The staff was excellent. The bartender waited on us and gave drink ideas. Appetizers was our dinner for the night. The loaded fried and deviled eggs. My wife had the fried green tomatoes. Came with a relish made of black eyed peas, corn, and peppers. The drinks were good too. Sat right next to the opening for outside. Enjoyed the weather from outside and the tvs inside. Comfortable furniture. Please check them out.

We enjoyed the ambience, service, but not the food.
Orange duck and twin fillets were our meals. Entrees were $36 and <$40; portions were small for the price tag and was still hungry after eating everything with my orange duck.
The major issue, we ordered deviled eggs and wife & I both got extremely sick 20-30 minutes after we left. We know it was the egg because it was the only thing we shared.

What a fun place. Never heard of it. It popped up in a good search for “food near me.” The atmosphere of Sally’s was fantastic. My server was top-notch.
Would I go back? Sure. I’m a barbeque guy so I was hoping for some tasty BBQ. I tried their brisket. It was a combination of the flat and the point. The point was especially delicious- juicy with a nice flavor of smoke. The flat, although tasty as well, was a tad drier, which is often expected. It is really hard to get the flat super moist. Its fat composition just makes it difficult to cook.
I also had the jalapeno cheddar sausage. It was fine. I was a tad disappointed that it came all sliced up. I’m a big fan of the “snap” from that first bite of a Texas hot link.
I thought the cucumber, onion, and tomato salad was stellar. The only thing missing were the collard greens. Why no greens?
Anyway, go check this place out. They do a decent job.

We had a fantastic time here. Our server, Paul, was phenomenal. He was very attentive and so much fun. All the food was delicious, except for the “tofu burnt ends”. If I hadn’t had them before, it would’ve been fine, but they were not the same as they were before and definitely not at all similar to burnt ends. The corn bread was the highlight for me. It was amazing. I also thoroughly enjoyed the nachos and potato skins. We got some fantastic drinks, my favorite being the espresso martini. We, of course, had a blast doing karaoke. I highly recommend!!!

This was our second visit, and while the food was good, it didn’t compare to the first time we ate there. It just felt like something was amiss. We had a great server who was very attentive and took great care of us. My problem was the disappointment with certain aspects of the food. I ordered the pulled pork platter with the corn and bean saute, but the menu didn’t say anything about it having smoked sausage in it, and there was quite a lot of it that I just shoved aside. There were no house pickles at all, and the pimento cheese dip had large chunks of cream cheese in it that weren’t blended into it very well. We ended up just taking it home. Finally, we ordered the banana cream pie, looking forward to it after reading the menu description. It had everything in it that was supposed to be there, except one thing… the thick-sliced banana rounds. What’s banana pudding without the bananas? If you should visit this restaurant, be sure to ask what’s in the dishes because you can’t rely on the menu to tell you the ingredients of some of the dishes, and you may not get what you actually think you are getting, because it could be left out!
