Great for only being open a week! Red chile was delicious. Service was great. We’ll definitely go again. Nice to have a good breakfast option.

Flavors were great, staff was friendly. Food was a bit cold, and getting everything we needed to enjoy the food was a little slow. $1.89/water was pretty disappointing, I’m used to water being free at a restaurant.

I know it’s new and just had a soft opening and we went on Tuesday night. It was busy and that’s a good thing for a local restaurant since CH has gone downhill.
We walked in a we’re told to sit anywhere. We grabbed a booth.
Our server was good, but here are a few recommendations from someone who worked in the restaurant biz in high school and before I went into the military.
When your party sits down grab silverware for them right away. We shouldn’t have to ask for cutlery multiple times even after our food has arrived.
I get that supplies are out sometimes. My wife and I were going to share the fajitas, but you were out. So we went with the taco plate.
Recommendations:
Season your taco meat better, it was bland
Rice and beans were cold. So that means either you’re serving cold food, or our food set out a while before our server grabbed it.
Pros:
Your western burger is great, fries were crispy and hot
Granddaughter said the chicken taco kids plate was delicious.
Salsa is great and had great spice to it.
We’ll give it another go in a while when you have things in place better.

It was a pleasure to walk in and see Alfredo from the Willard Cantina managing the kitchen at the Cowboy Cafe today. He ensures all the food and chile preparation is consistent between the three restaurants owned by Don Richmond. Don has been a long-standing restaurant owner in New Mexico owning restaurants in many many villages and towns. He always arrives for excellence
