Great place to get a meal. The restaurant staff was amazing. Very nice, kind and caring. Really comfortable place to relax after a long day driving. I ordered the ribeye unfortunately just to be honest it was one of the worst steaks I ever had. But it is what it is. Sometimes you just get a bad cut off meat. I’m actually thinking it was a grass-fed grass-finished beef. Those always taste a little different. I would still come back and eat here again.

This is a hidden gem in Lyman Wy off I80. The building itself doesn’t look like much from the outside but the inside is a very charming place. The food was very good and lots of it. The service was awesome and if Bob in for breakfast you will have someone to tell you some of the history. Seriously if you’re driving by and think I’m nope stop in anyway you’ll get an awesome meal.

Good classic breakfast food. Not a lot of options for those with dietary restrictions. The pancakes were popular with the youngins. Atmosphere, bathrooms were a bit run down but very clean and well maintained. Would go again. Waitress was polite.

Just off I-80, this is a great place to grab a bite for weary travelers. My husband and I were on a multi-state trip with our fifth wheel and decided to stop at the Cowboy Cafe for lunch. It is very unassuming on the exterior but the inside is a step back in time. Great atmosphere. Our waitress was very attentive and we were served quickly. The food was delicious. My husband had the club sandwich and I had a patty melt. Highly recommend!!

Good down home comfort food. Sisily was a fantastic server helping us decide on the best things to try and making us feel very welcome. Definitely don’t judge a book by its cover with this little Cafe.

The Cowboy Cafe is a hard place to look at from the outside, but the food on the inside is nothing short of awesome! The wait staff is very friendly, a little on the feisty side if you get them going! Huge plates of goodness, from breakfast to evening dinners… it’s very cozy and all the local folks love this place and that says a lot about it! Been stopping here for years and hoping for a few more before I just retire to Georgia!

Food was good at a decent price. The inside looked clean to me and they take cash or card. The inside looks way better than the outside.

Small town charm meets western lifestyle.
The country charm of the place is great. Art work from local artists on the wall are beautiful. The staff is friendly and charming. The food is great I really enjoyed the biscuits and gravy (homemade) the pancakes are large and tasty. Just a great friendly place to stop and take a break from the road. PLENTY OF TRUCK PARKING. Looking forward to stopping by again. Hours 06:00 to 21:00.

It was early dawn when I arrived just before the 6 am opening. The smell of skunk permeated the surrounding area. I walked in at 6:01 and saw one gentleman who never moved the entire time I was there. I sat down at the bar. The waitress was writing the Specials on the board.

I ordered my coffee and biscuits and gravy. She busied herself with morning chores. The old guy never changed his stare. Before long I hear a loud ‘Order up!’ from the cook in the kitchen.

The special was ‘Barnyard’. I ask about it. The lovely waitress, and I didn’t get her name, tells me that it’s pretty much every breakfast food piled on the plate. I tell her that it sounds wonderful if you have that big of an appetite. She exclaims that she has seen tiny people put it away and order more! She says that she has seen just about everything as a truck stop waitress. I can imagine she has!

I thanked her and gave her a nice tip as I left filled with yummy food in my belly and joy from the whole experience. The sun was now up and a crisp 36 degrees. I took some photos, including one of the waitress through the window. There was a trucker walking his dog. I saw a dead skunk on the roadway as I drove back to the hotel ..

My favorite diner. The steaks are unbelievable, very good quality, and the cook is always amazing. You won’t find better steaks than here in any other diner in the country. And the atmosphere is nice, with nice wood interior.
