The recently opened Cow & Sow in Birmingham occupies the space on the eastern side of Chamberlain Square, next door to Indian-Irani restaurant Dishoom. It brings a culinary art of steak experience like no other to Paradise, in a contemporary yet premium setting. We had a fantastic meal at Cow & Sow. From the moment we arrived the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly – nothing was too much trouble.
The food was outstanding. The roast was cooked perfectly – tender meat, crispy potatoes, rich gravy, and a Yorkshire pudding with the ideal puff. The bread to start was fresh and full of flavour, especially with the butter and oil.
Dessert finished things on a high note, comforting, generous, and absolutely delicious.
Overall, a brilliant meal with great quality ingredients, skilled cooking and service that made us feel welcome. We’ll definitely be returning!

I had tried this restaurant before and did not have the best experience. But every place deserves a second chance right? I am so glad that I did because this time around it was fantastic. The food was delicious, the service was excellent and it had a lovely cosy atmosphere. Our steak was cooked to perfection and the crispy onion blossom was
definitely a hit. Our waiter,Kieran,was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. I was even given a burnt caramel torte as a very welcoming birthday treat.

We visited the Cow & Sow for the first time on the 30th of January and we were absolutely amazed by how much we loved it. It’s been my favourite dining experience to date. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were all lovely including our server Maggie. Thank you for making my son’s 21st a very memorable experience.

This was our first visit to Cow & Sow and it was brilliant. We were shown straight to our table and we were offered water and drinks straight away. We were then served by Maggie who was amazing. Maggie guided us through the steak menu gave suggestions for sides ( great suggestions). Maggie was polite and professional but also talked to us and laughed with us. Maggie noted it was a birthday meal and was very attentive. Maggie checked rewards which is a great idea the restaurant dose and sorted our bill quickly and processionally. I have recommended this restaurant to friends and family and would definitely go again

Manager Jason was highly attentive and demonstrated an outstanding commitment to customer service at The Cow and Sow. After an initial visit that fell short of expectations in his absence, he took personal responsibility for ensuring everything was put right and exceeded expectations. The sharing platter was beautifully presented, and this was my first experience trying Malbec wine, which I found very enjoyable. Overall, it is an excellent establishment and offers very good value for money.

Food was fantastic and service was very attentive. Price was reasonable, especially given the quality of the food. Only slight negative was the tables being slightly too close together, but it was in the run up to Christmas to be fair. Would definitely recommend and will be going again.

I recently visited here for my 40th Birthday and went lunch time for the 3 course option, it was very good value for money and although the portions look small in the photos they’re the perfect size and I left feeling satisfied. The only thing I would say is they don’t ask you how you want your steak cooked so mine came pink which is what it was described as on the menu so that’s my fault, I would 100% return and the dessert was delicious.
