You definitely need to stop by – the sandwiches, the desserts, and the coffee are all really great. We came here for lunch and ordered a bunch of different sandwiches. We got the tempest, the porchetta, the apple brie, the cheesesteak, and the porchetta. All of them are soooo good. The porchetta is made in house. The bread also makes the sandwich and they use good bread. We also tried the cupcakes and the cannoli, made fresh. I also got a macchiato (Italian style, not Starbucks style) and it was good.

We are very fussy about the food we eat. Have been craving real deli food made with great ingredients and care (not that cheap processed stuff), we thought we would have to drive at least an hour to get what we want. Surprise! Last week we tried Covered Bridge which is 15 minutes from of us and were wowded. We have been back twice including today.
What makes this place different? The quality of every single ingredient. The selection which is very nice as it offers the Italian influenced selections to the Jewish deli (think homemade turkey sliced thin plus russian and coleslaw with cheese or roast beef if you want in on nice rye). The semolina roll that held my husband’s sandwich was sublime. Note, that whether you are vegetarian or a meat eater, want a sandwich, a wrap or a salad, you are certain to find something for you here. Plus they have a host a yummy takeout options.
Beyond the food: I noted the the cleanliness of the place and the service is perfection: warm, friendly, accommodating.

Was up in the area meeting up with someone , looked on goggle maps for close by food , and saw this place covered bridge so I figured I check it out for a quick bite to eat as I hadn’t eaten lunch yet. Saw on the menu cheese steak . It said hoagie in the details and back in South Jersey that usually means Lettuce , tomato , onions. After inquiring about that mentioned it was the style of bread and I asked well can we still add the lettuce tomato , onion to it . The young lady said sure no problem. It was about a 5/10 min wait and my sandwich was done . I was in a bit of a rush to not be late for the meet up so I took it to go . I didn’t actually get to eat the sandwich until like an hour later and was sad to find out they didn’t put the lettuce , or tomato on the cheese steak. It did have caramelized onions though . I would definitely come back and tell people about it because it was a good quality cheese steak and that’s huge considering I grew up with authentic Philly cheese steaks. I have to get it 4 stars in the service , because I was charged extra for the lettuce tomato, onions and only received caramelized onions

Went over the holidays…I guess a scale rating would say it best. Burger…my kid gave it a 5/10, def nothing special.
Eggplant Parm 3/10 would have been good but the eggplant pieces were leather so I had to spit them out.
Roast Beef Sandwich. 9/10 with more meat a solid 10.
Meatballs 2/10…the texture and lack of flavor were so bad we threw them out. I had to chew and chew it was gross. Very low grade meat.
Italian Breadsticks off the shelf from Italy 8/10

I was really impressed with the entire experience. The renovation was so “homey” and inviting. Felt welcome to stay and chat with multiple neighbors that happened to be there, as well.
Someday I will sit in one of the many rocking chairs on the porch.
Our food was delicious and anxious to try breakfast next and some of the smoked choices…since that is one of Chef Daniel’s specialties! My friend RAVED about the smoked salmon (made in house)
Staff/owners are ALWAYS genuinely friendly!!!
So happy to have this restaurant in my neighborhood!

Great sandwich, was grilled chicken, nduja, caramelized onions, shaved fennel, balsamic glaze, and some cooper sharp. Excellent sesame bread. Fresh and tasty. Will stop again!

My new favorite lunch spot! I stopped by the Covered Bridge Cafe for lunch and was completely charmed by the cozy atmosphere. I ordered the tuna melt, on the sour dough bread, best I’ve ever had! So fresh & tasty. The staff was incredibly friendly and offered some great recommendations from the prepared foods case. The eggplant stack, delish!! Everything house made & fresh. With good prices and a chill vibe, this is definitely my new go-to café.”

New little bistro in Sergeantsville, NJ. Clean and welcoming interior, and outdoor dining was created with a lot of attention to detail. Service was very friendly and welcoming. My dining partner had a breakfast sandwich which was one of the best she ever had. I had the smash burger – extremely tasty, but my criticism is the ratio of bun vs. burger – it’s a 4oz. patty (they offer on the menu an extra patty at an extra charge), and the bite seems to be 80% bun to 20% meat – was very noticeable and distracting. I may be the lone critic for this, but maybe consider a 6oz or 8oz burger? The smaller burger already goes for $11, so they may have to charge a LOT more to accomplish this. The other critical issue were the fries. Crispy and hot, but they were buried in seasoning other than just salt – we found them overwhelming – most expect fries to be just that, fries with some salt. Bottom line, we left happy, it was one of those things that it “would have been nicer if……..” situations. But do try this new place out, it looks like their other offerings are terrific!
