My first visit here per locals recomendation and boy, am I glad that I did!
Good food, friendly service and charming atmosphere!
Clean, delightful place in the heart of Stayton, Oregon.
I had the Two Egg breakfast . . with extra crispy hashbrowns, english muffin and two poached eggs.
I highly recomend giving this place a try when you’re out this way. Old school charm, vibe and food. Very happy visit. I will try the biscuits & gravy with some bacon, next time. They come highly recomended.

Well today was our second time coming to this restaurant. It was extremely busy, but well worth the wait! The bacon it to DIE for! The biscuits and gravy were amazing (coming from someone with a southern grandmother that made them daily by scratch!!). My husband’s steak was well done as requested. We come from Salem and are willing to make the drive for a perfect brunch!

Staff are consistantly polite even the younger staff. Always respectful and check in to make the meal is good and that we do not need anything else. They have the best bacon. Thick meaty slices with very minimal fat. Food is always cooked to our liking. Small local restaurant… with a mix of a home like feel and a dash of a fancier restaurant. The burger buns with a cute branding on the top bun. I always get the breakfast choices no matter what time we go.

Of our entire group, none of us could finish our meal. Eggs and hash browns were swimming in oil. The gravy was essentially Alfredo sauce. And for the price, we definitely expected half-decent food. Nice local shop, but the food was the worst I’ve had at a breakfast spot.

The covered bridge Cafe in stayton oregon. The service was very good and friendly. The food was ok. The meat was overcooked. My sons hamburger was very dry. The Spanish omelet was good. The chicken fried steak was good as well. Over all I wasn’t very impressed. The other reviews made it out to be better. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.

I took my wife to breakfast on December 12th and we drove 45 minutes. We seen the place posted on facebook so we decided to check it out. We got there at 7:27 am, the door was propped open and fairly full. We walked in to get a booth only to be told by the staff they don’t open until 7:30 and that we had to wait outside. That didn’t settle well with me for the fact the door was open and we had to go back outside and stand in the wind and rain for 3 lousy minutes. Figure that out, 3 minutes in the rain! I will never go back nor recommend that place to anyone! Plus, nobody came back to check on us and give us more coffee or see how the food was. If you want to know, it was cold. Both dishes!

I couldn’t say anything negative about this place, first time here and I was simply impressed by the quality of bacon and the sausage. The pancakes are super sweet and fluffy. Also heard the bacon cheese Burgers are out of this world.

Upon walking in we were “greeted” by an older waitress. We were seated and she asked what we’d like to drink before having 10 seconds to decide she snarkily said “water it is” and stomped off. She came back 30 minutes later after she was done chatting with the locals to take our order. I got the crunchy French toast and it was amazing! I paid the bill and still tipped her for probably the poorest service I’ve had in a long time. I’ll come back but if I see her working ill go elsewhere.
