We did the five course family-style dinner, and every single dish was delicious, each course somehow better than the last. The dessert course was the perfect finale – I’m still thinking about the carrot cake 24 hours later! The warm, welcoming ambiance made it an ideal spot for date night. We also loved that the owners came around to chat with each table—it made the whole evening feel extra special. We’ll definitely be back!

The environment is welcoming, the atmosphere is relaxed but still lively, and the food?? Listen. I don’t just eat here… I have experiences here. Every bite tastes like it was made by someone who actually cares whether I enjoy my meal or not. That’s rare these days.
And the service is beyond exceptional. The staff is friendly, patient, and somehow manage to be efficient without making you feel rushed. It’s the kind of place where you walk in hungry and leave fed, emotionally supported, and considering whether you should come back again tomorrow (answer: yes).

I recently had the opportunity to enjoy the weekend dinner at Cousin’s Deli with a group of friends. These reservations get booked out literally months in advance so I had made this one several months ago. We all arrived within a few minutes of the dinner time and were seated. For these dinners, there is one seating each night, and everything is served family-style. The restaurant is extremely full because there is limited space and tons of people who want to enjoy it. We were a group of 6. Dinner is also BYOB so we had a few bottles of wine among us. Our first course was a yummy bruschetta that was super fresh and flavorful. This was then followed by a plate of delicious appetizers which included eggplant rollatini, arancini, sauteed mushrooms, and shrimp. It was super delicious and tons of food! You are able to bring home leftovers so no need to stress about wasting food. Then we got a salad that was huge! It had pepperoncini in it which several of my friends loved. After that was the pasta course. We were served pasta a la vodka. It was an interesting sauce, much lighter than I’m used to for this dish. The pasta was delicious! Then came the main entrée course of chicken piccata. This serving was MASSIVE! Three different people took food home! The dessert plate came out with three different desserts on it- carrot cake, biscotti, and cannolis. You can also order coffee to go with the dessert course.
Everything was very tasty with very generous portions. The only big downside to the evening is how loud it is inside- I literally couldn’t hear my friend two seats down. Just comes from being super a popular experience in a restaurant not originally created for this set up. Still highly recommend!

this is without a doubt one of the best places i’ve come across after living in wilmington for 8 years. the owner is so caring/ intentional, the food is delicious, and the special family dinners on Friday and Saturday are an unforgettable community experience. 10/10

My expectations were high due to all the hype I heard about authentic Italian food in Wilmington and the long wait for reservations. It was a big let down! The food was average at best and the fixed menu was not anything out of the ordinary. The appetizers didn’t even include an all time favorite like calamari, the salad was good, the main course, chicken marsala was basic, the pasta was lightly covered with an average sauce and select pastries were served at the end. Overall not worth the wait or price.

I seriously don’t understand how they make these sandwiches so good. Absolute best! Not just in Wilmington, but I’ll go out on a limb and say possibly the best in the state… maybe even the country. Every single bite is unreal. Worth every calorie, every time.

The Saturday dinner was absolutely amazing. The food was amazing and fresh. The pacing of the 6 course dinner was perfect. The cannolis were the best I have ever had. If you have the chance to book a reservation, do it!
