Dining at this family-owned Moroccan restaurant was such a beautiful experience from start to finish. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed like family. The hospitality was genuine and heartfelt, which made the whole evening feel extra special.

The food was incredibly rich, flavorful, and clearly made with love. Every dish tasted authentic and perfectly seasoned. You can really tell that these recipes have been passed down through generations. The Harira was aromatic, the couscous was light and fluffy, and the fresh-baked bread paired perfectly with everything. And don’t even get me started on the mint tea — it was the perfect finishing touch!

The owners were super nice and friendly, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with beautiful Moroccan décor and music that made us feel like we had traveled back to Morocco for the night.

If you’re looking for authentic Moroccan cuisine made with care, passion, and tradition, this is the place to go. We will definitely be coming back. I highly recommend!

This new restaurant on Colfax serves up authentic Moroccan food in a relaxed setting. The service is done by the owners, a polite and accommodating couple who strive to give you the Moroccan food experience. And they succeed. I ordered the
Lalla Tfaya which is Chicken slowly cooked with carrots and pumpkin amid flavorful spices and served over couscous. The chicken and vegetables were cooked to perfection and the couscous a hearty filling to go along with the homemade bread.
I took home a bowl of their Moroccan soup (Harira) tomato based with celery, and chickpeas. A mint Moroccan tea rounded out my dinner. If you are looking for something different (and delicious) I suggest wandering into CousCous Hice for not only a break from rice, but a break from the ordinary.

November 2025 – I used to go to this same location months ago, as it was once GB Fish & Chips. I passed by several times and knew that I would try it someday. I am attracted to Morocco because I’ve visited Casablanca and I recently had friends from Morocco spend Ramadan at my home. I show the utmost respect to international cultures and religions. I am not Muslim, though. I just love authentic international food. I love Morrocan foods….the sweet and savory flavors (red pepper, ginger, cinnamon, curry, black pepper, etc. You can taste the spirit of Love & Pride in Morrocan cuisine. Coucous Hice did not disappoint, down the the perfectly spiced halal chicken in one dish, halal beef in the other, with stewed turnips, carrots, potatoes and other simple healthy ingredients, on perfectly steamed coucous. The complimentary mint tea was just like in Casablanca! The hospitality was exceptionally warm from the owner and wife, Fouad, and Soumia. They were very personable and celebrated their culture through their delicious offerings. Fouad explained the distinction between halal and non halil meats. He and his wife provided welcoming un-pressured service. His wife has a warm eclectic spirit as a Reikki healer and lover of crystals as I am. The atmosphere was quiet, with Morrocan videos playing in the background. A great place for dinner and conversation. The desserts were tasty….a coconut-ty soft and chewy cookie and a coucous dessert with cinnamon, raisins, and a hint of lemon, not too sugary like American desserts. …not sure if it contained any dairy.
I was quite pleased.
‘Smoker Friendly’, next door, allowed parking. I checked. They were kind about parking in their lot.

Vegan review:
We had the Zaalook sandwich (eggplant and peppers) which was phenomenal. The sandwich was on fresh bread, which made it the perfect mix of oily, chewy, salty and flavorful. I had called ahead to ask whether it was vegan, and when we arrived, they remembered my call. The owner suggested we order one sandwich with a side of soup, which they also confirmed was vegan. I believe it was a pea soup, subtle and earthy, and fantastic for a chilly day. The sandwiches came out with delicious tangy harissa. They also confirmed the Green O’Bneen was made with coconut milk, not dairy, and would be another option for vegans. Cannot wait to come back and try it!

Amazing food. I visited Morocco this past summer, and Fouad’s food brought me back to tangier. In this restaurant I received incredible cuisine, warm and friendly conversation, and a new favorite spot to frequent when I’m visiting Denver.

First impression before we even ordered was phenomenal! We loved the warm and unique interior design, the colors, all the aesthetic choices that were clearly made with love and care. The owners were incredibly friendly and stopped by several times to talk to us as if we’d all been neighbors for many years. The food was to DIEEEEE for. The complex flavors burst in your mouth. The portions were rich and satisfying. I can’t wait to come back and try out the whole menu!

A new Moroccan restaurant just opened in the neighborhood, and it’s a true gem. Owned by a married couple, the space is warm, welcoming, and clearly built with care. They treated us with such kindness—it felt more like being hosted than dining out.

The food was excellent: flavorful, perfectly spiced , and fresh, vibrant bread and chakchouka. You could tell everything was made with intention.

It’s the kind of place that makes you want to come back—not just for the food, but because it feels good to be there. We’ll be back soon.
