I went one time and really enjoyed it. The server never checked back to fill our drinks though. It’s a little hard to find because it’s in an old historic house. The hours are very limited. They are open Mon-Fri for lunch only, from 10 to 2. The second time I went, I wanted to take some out of town friends, but we got there right as they were closing. Serving sizes are good.

Anyone who thinks Batesville doesn’t have any great locally-owned & operated restaurants is definitely mistaken! We’ve eaten in this little gem for years (and have had lots catered from here, too) — the food is always fabulous, the service is great, and the atmosphere is awesome! Most days of the week, there’s a packed house for lunch, but dining is available outdoors, too. When the weather is good, the patio seating is wonderful, too —- beautiful landscaping and lovely decor inside and out! 5 STAR!

I go here pretty often and love the food but the waitress was rude today. In addition to her attitude she never back to check on us for refills , to bring dessert that comes with the special, or for the check. I usually am understanding bc I used to be a waitress but they were not very busy and she checked on the tables around us just not ours. Don’t think I’ll be back for a while.

Had a very bad experience here. My dad and I stopped for lunch at 1:00. Was told we could NOT order hamburgers so we ordered shrimp salad sandwich with fries. Server came back and said NO FRIES. I ordered a sprite and told the owner that it didn’t taste right. She argued with me that it came from a can. Had a very crappy attitude!!!

First time stopping by for lunch a cozy place right in your face, but you must pay attention. Everything was great, and the food was flavorful . I had mac and cheese cabbage corn bread, purple hull peas, meat loaf, and strawberry cake. this was the lunch special, and you get your money worth YUMMY

They don’t close at 2p, they close before 1:30p. We walked in the front door at 1:30p to a blast of heat. The place was at least 85 degrees inside and it wasn’t very cold out. Anyway, we were told they were closed so we left. Too bad. We would have eaten on the patio since it was too hot inside. They need to update their business hours on Google maps. Disappointed.
