Quaint cafe with good food, friendly service and reasonable prices. We had the lunch special: roast beef, potatoes & carrots in gravy, English peas with a roll. The roast beef was seasoned well, tender and delicious. The food was simple, but flavorful and filling. This is a small cafe with limited seating, but we arrived at 11 am and had no trouble finding a table. If you are in Greenville and want to support a local Mom & Pop diner, this place is a good choice. I enjoyed my meal and hope to return soon.

Yall this food is absolutely DELICIOUS! we’ve only had the breakfast but every single time it’s wonderful. It’s just really good cookin kinda food. The bacon egg cheese croissant is bomb, can’t beat it. The ladies are nice as can be. It’s a go to. I think they should expand :)! Also it’s priced fairly, better than fast food bc it’s much more yummy.

I’m from out of town so I googled “breakfast near me”. Court Square Cafe is located in the heart of town square with plenty of parking. Full Breakfast and a Meat and 2 lunch. Super friendly staff and you will most likely see the owner keeping things moving as they should. Great food and value in the heart of Greenville!

This is exactly the place I’ve been looking for while traveling. Home cooked southern meals. They even made potato salad like Grandma used to make.
The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious.

I’m honestly quite bewildered by the 4 and 5 star reviews of this restaurant. The food for the most part seems to be all frozen, canned, or boxed. Very little appears to be actually baked/cooked in house. It’s the simplest form of a “Greasy Spoon” diner and there’s nothing wrong that but at least be honest in the reviews. The low prices matched the quality of lunch that I was served at the counter but the food was hot and the staff were very polite. And by polite I mean…. I was privy to all their health issues, doctor appointments, constant coughing around the service counter, and the latest gossip. I was also allowed to see how they prepare their Strawberry Short Cake. It involves slapping a piece of cake in a styrofoam container, scooping out some strawberries from a GFS appearing container, and then opening up the “whipped topping” container which appeared like it was from Walmart and slapping that on there as well. How hard is it buy strawberries fresh(they are in season) and make you’re own whipped cream in house? Oh wait…. It’s not. But when you’re kitchen staff have themselves stuffed in the booths which leaves no space for customers, I can see why they don’t. Would I discourage people from eating here? Absolutely not, but the expectations and reality of this small diner should definitely be kept in check.

Found this place on Google, looking for a lunch spot on a drive between Pensacola, Fl and Auburn, Al. What a step back into my childhood. Small, about eight tables and a counter. It’s apparent the the staff takes great pride in insuring all guests are well cared for. Homie to the extreme. This is not gourmet, but solid, southern home cooking. We arrived about 45 minutes before closing, the menu is “fluid” the special plate I asked for was sold out, but I got a chicken tender plate that was wonderful. My wife a hamburger and fried okra. Both arrived hot and were delicious. The desserts are all made on site. If the Italian Cream cake is available, get it! It was absolutely amazing! I hope you take the time to venture off the main road and give this place a try. It will be a mandatory stop next fall as we make this trip for the football season.

Loved this place we stumbled upon while visiting Greenville. Friendly folks, great food, great atmosphere. Hummingbird cake was sooo good! Not a lot of seating (I wonder if there’s room outside on the sidewalk for small tables and chairs?). Several take out orders too while we were there. Would definitely return.

I usually get a BLT and a tea for lunch. Their BLTs are like no other. Just fantastic! All of the staff are very nice, the service is fast and the prices are on point. I hope they stay open for a very very long time.
