The new “Grab and Go” location here is absolutely horrible. Nothing but constant disappointment. Very few options WHEN THEY EVEN HAVE FOOD!! When the grab and go was at Raptor dfac it was great! Very efficient and full of stock. Here at Courage it has been nothing but constant disappointment and that’s not just coming from me, it’s from everyone I have talked to. They would be better off being closed than even bothering. Idk who “runs” this but they need to be reevaluated. It is bad enough that millions of dollars of our dfas money has gone missing and nothing came about it but now they are just shoving it in our faces with this garbage dump of a facility. This place is so bad it needs to be brought up to the DOD itself… best thing they could do is shut this spot down and open a small convenient store instead of the grab and go. It would better serve the soldiers in the surrounding barracks. Y’all need the money so bad just keep it but at least give us something we can use like a convenient store

Typical expectations for a DFAC. Coffee is present hot and sometimes cold, both expresso/latte machines are usually down 80% of the time. Good omelet bar and dual self-service lines are helpful in keeping the wait time very low. With the crazy price of fruit, the fresh fruit bar is a steal. For the breakfast price of a little more than $4, it’s a great option that’s about 1/3 what you’d spend buying breakfast at Starbucks or whatever.

“No to-go boxes” for like a week now. Tried to come with my own Tupperware — “it’s a dish from outside; it’s a food safety issue”. So why not just either get a better supply there, or let people get food on the plates and then slide it down into their own containers using the utensils. Isn’t it even more sanitary?

Coffee machines still don’t work with no update or sign saying when they’ll be operational. The DFAC hours posted here on Google are inaccurate. Apparently they close at 18:30, M-F, not 1930 like it says on Google.

Hit or miss, food is always good but sometimes they run out of food. They used to be good, eg morning takeouts, can ask for both meat, fast and smooth.
It is still good, don’t get me wrong, but I wish they reverted back to normal where dinner was served and weekends was open. God bless the 92golfers here

Awesome DFAC, now they are serving 2 main lines. I came in 12:15 and don’t have to wait in line. I love pasta Wednesday and soul food Thursday. Shrimp pasta and lasgania is on points. Thank you for the great food

Courage is certainly one of the better DFACs on JBLM. The wait time here is terrible though. This is largely due to the fact of self serve. I think this method slows down the process substantially and also humans are inherently selfish so soldiers in the front of the line takes way too much food. I honestly wish they would go back to serving the food to us.

Food is normally good, but the lines are trash, there are times when you have to wait more then 30 mins, to get mainline items. This is all due to inprocessing soldiers, the days/meals that they are not there this dfac is great, but when you have to wait that long it sucks.

Great service! Hand packed burger was amazing. Salad bar was great loved all the bean options and French onion straws. The Philly cheesesteak was the best!!!

They’ve improved quite a bit since my last post. Only thing that could be better is the food. But they don’t really have control over where they source it due to contracts so yeah. 4 for me.
