Nice outdoor lunch/coffee spot in Stanford campus. Love to grab a spicy mocha and drink it with the view of the library. Their bakery items are pretty basic but can work fine if you just need a bite on the go.

I was meaning to write this last week, but a few days ago I went to visit Stanford University and I came across this cafe. The cashier at the time (whose name is Jose) was so nice and helpful with my order. Not only did he recommend a great food and drink item but he also informed me about the rewards system and he helped me go through the process step by step. I don’t normally write these types of reviews, but I wanted to spend an extra minute out of my day to do this because I could tell he works hard, and good service can be quite hard to come by these days. This made my visit to Stanford very pleasing and I cant wait to go back! Thank you for taking the time to cater to me, Jose!

EDITED: I appreciate the personal response below! I would nonetheless suggest to potential customers that for now, if their online order pickup time is before 10:30am, they should order early and schedule the pick up time 20-25 minutes ahead. For example, if you have a class in Y2E2 at 9:30am, schedule your online order for 9:05am to have it in hand by 9:25am. (Original review: Good coffee but consistently runs 20 minutes behind scheduled pick up time for online orders in the morning.)

If today is typical, the cafe needs to do a better job of communicating with customers about where and when their orders will be placed when ready, as there are several different pickup stations and they aren’t labeled well. I ordered a latte and muffin online at 12:03 and the confirmation said it would be ready at 12:10. At 12:25 I received my order, but only after inquiring where I was supposed to pick it up, and having them make it, seemingly not having the order in the system. However on the pro side, the cafe was very responsive to my complaint and hopefully they can organize the delivery system a bit more clearly.

This is below my office, so the location is a perk. They have a variety of gluten free options, which is huge for me. It was busy, either as a function of location or good food. I wasn’t a huge fan of my vegan arepa, but then again I may have gotten unlucky, or they’re more difficult to make vegan, who knows.

My Vietnamese coffee was very good, and I trust they do other great types of lattes. I want to like this place, so I’ll try it again.

They have a funky ordering system during covid where you can’t use the register, and must order on an app/online. Pro for safety, con for your first time ordering.

Breakfast around $10~15, open early from 07:30 to 17:30. Close on Saturday and Sunday. Table, restroom, and power outlets can be found indoors. Also include outdoor dining area.

Different place to food on campus. I usually get a smoothie and crepe. This location doesn’t have all the options like the resturant (like the pasta), but they have have a majority of them! I do like how this place gives you a buzzer to notify when your food is ready. It’s hard to stand around when it’s busy, so this makes it a bit easier.

Very nice and quite setting. Average pricing. Most sandwiches and drinks usually cost less than 10$. The last thing I ordered there was a fruit smoothy, it tasted very fresh and well made. The service here is good as well. There’s also outdoor seating which I like to sit in, as well. A solid 4 stars!

Convenient due to its location, but not much else going for it. Also pretty overpriced for what it is, but often the only choice. Service is super slow, and often inconsistent. This morning, I ordered a tea with honey (it didn’t have honey in it) and a bagel with a side of cream cheese. It took fifteen minutes to get tea and a bagel, much longer than it reasonably should have, and it’s clear that Coupa is prioritizing online orders over people who are physically present. Tons of drink/food orders went out and sat on shelves for people who weren’t there while I was waiting for my small, simple order.

terrible experiences here recently. this location used to be good and I don’t know what happened. while I was waiting for my food, I saw one of the crepe chefs drop a cooking utensil on the floor, pick it up and continue using it — HUGE violation of health standards. I also wanted a breakfast burrito (it was on the menu) but they said they weren’t offering breakfast menu items when nowhere on the menu does it say that. they made my sandwich wrong multiple times (also the quality of the bread and other ingredients has decreased significantly??). the chai latte was WAY too sweet. they refused to give me a cup of water for free and made me wait in the long line to pay 25 cents. horrible customer service in my opinion.
