County Grill & Smokehouse is a family owned and operated restaurant group that specializes in smoked meats and homemade southern foods and sides. The first County Grill & Smokehouse was opened in 1995 in Yorktown, Virginia. With hard work and determination we opened a second location in Hampton, Virginia. Our competition BBQ team, the Serial Grillers, compete all over the country, holding many titles and awards.
Bar food & BBQ, plus a changing menu of craft beers, in brick & wood surroundings.

Nice family restaurant. There are plenty of menu items to choose from. Visited for a family dinner. Our waitress, Makayla, (Mac) was awesome. She did not miss a beat! The prices were reasonable. Good place , good food. Nice sized portions of food to eat alone or to share. Great desserts!

First time eating here on a friends recommendation. Food was plentiful, nice portions. The smoked Ruben sandwich was not good, meat was fatty and tough, hard to bite and chew. Wouldn’t recommend that. The other choices were tasty and delicious. Pulled pork tender and flavorful. Collard greens delicious. Chicken wings brisket & ribs all great. Ask for Alyssa she was great server!

Non-descript place from the outside, part of a small set of string of other stores and restaurants. However, once you enter, you’re transported into a very nice bbq/sports bar vibe. Good sized restaurant and it’s obvious it’s very popular. The decor is nice and has a relaxed atmosphere.

Wait time at 7 pm on a Saturday night was almost 30 min. Got 3 adults at a high top. Bartender was our waiter. Due to that we had very long wait times in between everything. He was outstanding when though it was swamped. Some food was already out and off menu. Chicken wings were great. Drinks especially Prickly pear marg were great. Live music was great.

This is my second time eating here but first time eating in the restaurant and the experience was great. Our waitress, whose name escapes me at the moment, ( I’m sorry!) was so sweet and helped us make decisions on what we wanted. The corn muffins were soooooo good! I ended up getting BBQ egg rolls and they were really good with the sweet chili sauce. I will definitely be back again!

This is the first time eating here and it was amazing. We were quickly seated and had ice tea in front of us in 5 minutes. I had the smoked Reuben, and my friends had the brisket sandwich. They were hit and fresh and served with a smile. One of the 2 sides I got was the warmed potato salad. Outstanding! Our waitress was out standing and I highly recommend this place for good BBQ!
