Today around 11:00 AM, we bought two donuts from Countryside Donut. When we came outside and started to eat them, we suddenly saw a bug on top of one glazed donut. We immediately went back inside and showed the cashier a picture as proof and requested a refund.
He said that we had already eaten half of one donut. But if the other donut had a bug on it, how could we trust the food safety and quality to eat the second donut? It was only $5, and it was not about the money — it was about food safety and our health.
However, he refused to refund our money and said he would not give it back. This was my first and last visit to this place. I left both donuts at the counter and walked out.
That is the kind of customer service they provide. I am very disappointed with the unhygienic food and the way they treated us. I wish I could give zero stars and will be filing a complaint with the health department because of how they treat customers.

Really good quality donuts, not too sweet and sugary (taste is perfect), soft and fresh and a at really good price too. The guy who works here today is really nice too. He gave a treat for my daughter. I think this is the best donuts in Washington at cheaper price. It’s the pride of Bothell. Wouldn’t buy donuts anywhere else.

I really want to leave a positive review, because my first visit was great. We came back for a dozen donuts this time, and the service was bad enough to outweigh the good donuts.
1) The lady placed the dozen in one box where they were all squished together, which would be fine if the chocolate glaze wasn’t coming off on the other donuts. I asked for a second box so they could sit comfortably, and she refused. I clarified why it would be helpful, and she firmly said “no extra box”. I cant imagine an extra box would be so costly… but okay.
2) She then reached with her bare hands to try and move the donuts off the chocolate ones – we immediately stopped her. Her cell phone was on the counter, and she was watching some videos, so I’m certain her hands weren’t clean. She had used the tongs to place the donuts in the box, which was fine. But the bare hands was a no-go.
3) I asked for 6 chocolate glaze, but they had 5. This was 8am, and I could hear them frying donuts in the back. Last time, I just waited a bit and got newly made ones. I asked if she had more donuts, she said no. I said I wouldn’t mind waiting if they were making some more, to which she abruptly said “there is no more!” In the grand scheme of things, this isn’t a big deal, and I took an extra glazed donut… but the rudeness was unnecessary.
4) While closing the box lid, she was watching the videos on her phone and was crushing the donuts, not paying attention. We once again stopped her to fix it ourselves.
Not trying to be a Karen, and I love to support small businesses. But it’s so tough when service is poor and folks are rude and unsanitary.
Again – our first experience was so good that we came back a second time despite being 20 mins away from home. I think it’s just the lady that was at the counter this time.

The donuts are amazing and fresh, they taste great and for $18.00 a dozen you can’t go wrong! This is my new favorite donut shop in the area

Short Answer: Go here and support a family who puts their heart, love and soul into their product.
Long Answer: Back in California, There used to be this donut shop that had been around since the 90s. An older Vietnamese gentleman woke up every morning at 4am to make an entire case of donuts in only a few hours. They would sell out daily and anything left over usually were things like bear claws and donuts holes. This gentleman and his wife held down this establishment since the 90s and there were not many like it. In 2016, they closed and as the years went by, corporations like Krispy Kreme appeared in their place.
A corporation can make a donut, they can make it taste good but they won’t ever accomplish what Countryside Donut House has done with their donuts, their customer base, their love & their passion. Everytime I go here to get a few donuts I am also greeted by a polite young man who works his butt off to serve the people. Everytime I go here and see the family in the back baking their donuts, I smile at an art that has been lost to mass production machinery. Countryside Donut House is the last of their breed, not many ma and pa donut shops exist anymore and I am glad I found them and I hope they stay around as long as they can. Please buy a maple bar, a chocolate bar. A few donut holes and a couple twists. This place is a 5 all day, 5 everyday and deserves your 5$ to make your day. Much love.

Visiting family and found this place nearby. There isn’t much parking and a lot of them are marked for other businesses.
No seating but we were taking it to go anyways. Lots to choose from and super nice service! Very patient with us not knowing what we wanted to try. Even gave us a free one!
Everything was so good and the price for a dozen was $15 something. In the Bay Area it would be almost double.

Just stopped in for a box of treats and these are hands down the best doughnuts in town and around! We asked the staff to recommend the selection of 9 and they did not disappoint, I absolutely loved the Bear Claw and Eclairs but honestly all of them are delicious, from the freshness to fluffy texture to the delicious cream and toppings. Well done Countryside Donut House! You made our day so cozy and sweet!

EXCEPTIONAL DONUTS! We go the apple fritters, maple bars, and two chocolate covered cake donuts. They were all crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. Textures were perfect. Exactly what you are looking for when you want a donut. Some of the best we’ve eaten. Cash only.
