Where do I begin? The food was amazing, I mean, so good, I thought my grandmother was in the back cooking. My family and I have been trying to get to Countryside Cafe for over 6 years, and it’s not because we couldn’t, it’s been so busy with hungry people. I usually have Mondays off, and you’re closed, which I understand, as Jamie’s and family are important. My wife had the fried chicken filet, our son had the haddock, and I had the chicken livers, my favorite, with collard greens and fried okra. So good, I mean everyone was fantastic. Our drinks were never empty, and everyone was so polite and nice. We will be back to thank you for this great place and amazing food. Almost forgot the pulled pork tacos as the appetizer it is ammmaaaaazzzziiiinnngg.

Normally, they’re pretty busy this time of night on a Saturday but we got here right at 6 o’clock and we were able to get right into a table. They’re fairly slow right now. I had the chicken and dressing special and my wife had the pulled roast special. The meat was a little tough for her because she’s real sensitive on what she chews but I found it to be about normal. She ended up also ordering the chicken and dressing.. sides, mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, cream, spinach, squash, casserole, and collards. Didn’t take pictures this time, Sorry, but the food is great. It’s always great. Good home cooking. Service was great. Waiters are very kind, Quick and helpful. We keep coming back cause it keeps on being a good experience and not too expensive either spend about $20 a person with drinks.

I was trying out a LOT of things in order to bring family when they visit. It’s a meat and 3 but I ordered 2 extra veggies to try. Hand breaded chicken fingers, squash casserole, hashbrown casserole, deviled eggs, baked mac n cheese, fried okra, roll and sweet tea. It was great. Some of it reminded of family dinners. I would recommend and will go back to try other things.

Wonderful experience. Good food. Extensive menu. A lot of good side dishes. We had the squash casserole, slaw, potato salad, deviled eggs and mash potatoes w/brown gravy. I had the tenders and she had the chicken and dressing. The portions are satisfying. We had a delightful time and had a fantastic dining experience. Thank you Countryside Cafe!

Size of the “Large burger”, imagine a normal size bun you get at the store. Now imagine the patty you would get if you thought it was a large burger… this thing was as thin as a quarter and the tomato was wider than the patty. I think there was at least salt on the patty, but that’s about it… to say it was mid is an understatement…
Price, almost 40 dollars for the most disappointing, un flavored, no service meal is criminal…
This place is one of my wife’s childhood memories and it sucks that this memory is now shattered for her… I hope yall don’t have to experience what we did if you chose to come here

Everything you eat and are served is pretty much prepared, frozen and then warmed up or its frozen food they have brought in and not made there…and you can definitely tell. Most things taste like water and are soggy.. The okra was burned and so dry it was like eating sand with jerky… Worst part is how much I wanted to like this place. I’m from quite a few hours further south… looking for a nice home cooking, country dinner place. This is not it.. The Mac n cheese was good, and the desserts were wonderful (cake seemed a bit old/dried out but still good flavor) However…when I asked I found out most of that isn’t even made here either…The servers are sweet and everyone seemed like friends and family dining there. Which I guess explains the good reviews. Honestly, great people…which is why it sucks I have to say awful food… Loved the vibe of the place..but they do not have the food to match it…

A taste of the South! We loved this place. The servers are super friendly and do a great job. They have a standard “everyday” menu and a daily special menu that they highlight on a handheld whiteboard that they bring to each table. The “specials menu” includes a vast array of sides. I was surprised they had lima beans and hominy as side options (you don’t normally see that). The food was amazing. I think we found a new local favorite .Highly recommended
