This restaurant is absolutely the greatest! We ate here today for the first time and we will be back 100+ more times! The atmosphere is so welcoming and every staff member were smiling and kind. Our waitress Harley was amazing! She treated us like family/friends. The food is to die for! We ordered the Potato Skins as an appetizer and we both had the Sirloin Beef Tips with mashed potatoes and fried okra. My husband’s tips were cooked medium and mine well done. They were perfect! We did not wait long at all for anything (but I would wait hours just to eat here)! I highly recommend this place! Thank you to ALL employees at this restaurant for making everything so amazing! It takes a great team to pull of such a wonderful environment and you ALL go above and beyond to make it perfect!

Locals know this is the best restaurant in the area. We were traveling through and decided to have lunch here. Wow! Impressive portions and prices. The staff are warm and welcoming and busy.
The roasted broccoli was well seasoned and tasty. The herb grilled chicken was also well seasoned and not dry. Husband had the “all you care to eat” Friday catfish. Served blackened, broiled or fried, he opted for blackened. It was delicious. Entrees are served with 2 sides or sub a sizeable house salad for $3. Sides are also $3.
We will definitely be back and encourage others to stop by. This is one of those restaurants I hope lasts forever.

My wife and I stopped by for lunch. It was our first visit. It was busy, and our first impression is of a place favorited by locals (which is always a good thing). Our hostess was friendly, and seemed to genuinely like her job. She made some recommendations and we both decided to try the Reuben sandwich with tots. The sandwiches were delicious. The tots were crispy and cooked perfectly. The attached pic shows how the meal looked before it was consumed.
This is a nice local restaurant. What it lacks in atmosphere it makes-up for with good food that is priced fairly. You certainly will not leave hungry after a visit.

Pretty good. We thought the prices were a little high. The chicken tenders seemed like they weren’t in house made but they didn’t claim to be. The hamburger steak was really good. The sides were good but $3 extra for the salad was a bit much. Everyone was friendly.

We popped in for lunch on our way to the Lost Sea on a road trip, and honestly it was maybe the best meal we had on our whole 8 day vacation. I got the catfish small plate (comes with fries and hush puppies), my wife got a shrimp po boy with fried okra, our son got the brisket cheese with onion rings.
Let’s start with the catfish – super clean, flaky, fresh. The batter wasn’t too heavy and didn’t overwhelm the fish. I’ve only had catfish a few times but this was certainly my favorite.
The shrimp had excellent, light breading and was perfectly cooked. The fried okra – well, I find okra just OKAY usually, but I was obsessed with this fried okra. Addictive and delicious.
The star, though, was the brisket grilled cheese, which seemed to have 100 pounds of perfectly cooked, tender meat on there. A feast that we all shared and still had some to take home.
Despite all the fried stuff, we didn’t feel like crap after and were ready to hike in the caverns. I don’t know what they use for batter but it’s out of this world.
Our server was super friendly and handled my wife’s allergy well. I could tell it’s a real local’s place and I’m jealous of the people who get to come here often. The price points are straight out of 2010 – I didn’t see a check that low through the rest of our vacation.
If we’re ever back in the area, this is our first stop for sure.

The menu Countryside is similar to Lazy Beagle in Sweetwater.
We had mahi tacos, catfish, burgers, grilled chicken and chicken tenders.
The portions are huge and quality of the food did not disappoint. The prices are decent too!! We spent about $100 for ) people. there is plenty of open seating, good for large or small parties. The patio seating looks nice as well.
The desserts looked good but we were stuffed. We’ll definitely be back.

Service and food were awesome. Super cheap too. We got a bbq sandwich and blt with fries and we happily cleared our plates. Their bbq sauce is so good. Open on Sundays!

New Review — Take your taste buds here!! Today we closed down the dining room at 3:55pm. Both of us had excellent entrees, My bride had the Patty Melt & mashed potatoes, my choice was beef tips w/onions and peppers, onion rings & Cole slaw. All were delicious, the tips were accompanied generously with onions & peppers and well marinated. I was able to eat most without A-1 sauce (My bride calls A-1 mop water.) I did refill the ketchup for the o-rings but not my mop water. The slaw & yeast roll and service were also great. Take your taste buds here!!
Since we had decent temps over the weekend, we finally got to experience the outdoor dining at Countryside. Food (meatloaf for both of us) was good, outdoor experience was awesome as was the service! If you haven’t been to Countryside you’re missing out! Check em out this weekend!

Had the $ 9.00 catfish lunch special! The catfish was really good as well as the turnip greens (which could have been fresh but didn’t ask) and the hushpuppies! Service was great as well. The only minor disappointment was that I wished that the hushpuppies were a little larger! Have eaten there three times over the past few months I recommend this place!
