Great little hidden gem. Happened by this place on my route for work today. Popped in and bought some house made chocolates and jam. The girl behind the counter was super friendly and made sure to offer me some fresh out the oven kolaches . They were delicious! Will definitely be stopping by again!

Country Variety is a small Amish owned and ran business in our small community of Montour, IA. Everybody involved at Country Variety is friendly and helpful. They are some of the most humble and creative entrepreneurs in the food industry as well as some nonfood offerings as well. I would highly recommend if you’re in search of a good breakfast bread to buy one of their bacon, egg, and cheese bread loaves. Refrigerate it if you get one, they do not use preservatives.

First visit here . Cinnamon rolls were fresh. Carmel pecan rolls had walnuts instead of pecans but still were fresh. I just prefer they put pecans on when packaging says pecans . Husband got pickled eggs said a bit sweet for him. But still good. Will try them again. Note*** I asked if cash or debit she said card was ok but did not tell me til it was all rang up they charge fee for card. It was 1.00.
