We visited the day after Christmas; and the restaurant was packed, but our server was still quick and attentive. We heard about this amazing cafe from Virginia and had to try it, and we are glad we did. The Eggs Chesapeake and country fried steak were delicious, and the biscuits were the standout.
We also loved the first-responder theme throughout the restaurant and the story behind it. It adds a lot of character!

This was a great breakfast spot! Located confidently off 54 and close to north OC. This place is Cash Only and there is an ATM in site. Service was quick – thankfully it was not crowded. The food was also yummy. The biscuits were soft and so good. I love a chipped beef omelette and their chipped beef is homemade. The decor was for fire and police departments which is nice to see. All of the associates were friendly. Prices are affordable! Will def come back!

Loved my breakfast. The food was fresh, hot, and delicious. Generous portions. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. I don’t live in the area, and it was so refreshing to find a restaurant that wasn’t a national chain with the same old tired menu. It was very kind of the gentleman who obliged me with a picture too! I really enjoyed myself!

This is a great neighborhood cafe. We were seated immediately. Food came out very quickly, tasted great. I was a little disturbed when they started vacuuming. I asked the owner if they could wait. He very sweetly said honey we closed at 1:00. Apparently we walked in after they closed. I thought they closed at 2:00! He stopped the vacuuming to accommodate me.
How nice was all of this?! They were closed, they sat us, prepared our delicious food and were so friendly!
I’ve been here before, but now I’ll go more, but BEFORE 1:00!!
Thank you folks!!

The best little hidden gem ever. The portions were huge, the coffee was great and the home fries were AWESOME! The dining area was bright and sunny. The staff were attentive. The best part was that there was a very large group of senior citizens celebrating a birthday. Just made our experience that much better.

Our first time here. Decor is first-responder-themed. Inside is relatively small, with many tables – yet, it didn’t look or feel crowded.
Breakfast menu has many selections – we both had the ‘Healthy Choice:’ scrambled egg-beaters, turkey sausage links, fresh fruit, and wheat toast. Food was good, served fairly quickly and at the right temperature, and portion size was good.
Service was both very good and friendly.
Had a nice chat with the owner when I asked him about the decor (and he even noticed our Jeep parked outside and ‘ducked’ me as we left!).
We liked it and will definitely return!

Back again at our little gem in Sellbeville.
The food is delcious and the service is wonderful.
Quaint little Cafe serving breakfast and lunch with very reasonable prices.
It’s fun to look around at the fire hats and tools and trucks. They have so many patches to admire. A must see if you are in Sellbeville or near Millsboro or OCMD.
Let me know if you decide to go and what you think.

Came in, food was okay. Things have definitely changed for the worse, waitresses look moody especially the one with piercings and I hate how the old man in the corner looks at me while I eat, don’t know if he’s a worker
or possibly the owner. The muffins are definitely NOT homemade and taste like food lion muffins.
Edit: Oh Im sure you think those muffins are homemade but my taste buds say otherwise (perhaps try changing the recipe idk, it’s a bit old and outdated like your restaurant ). And if the “old man in the corner” was you, then that explains the staring. Glad the staff’s happy though, can’t say the same for the customers
Second edit:
Thanks for the invite, but I’ll respectfully decline. I would’ve mentioned it in person if the goal was improvement, but when feedback is met like a challenge instead of an opportunity to do better, a polite heads-up online helps future customers. Maybe consider updating the muffins and I’ll think about coming back when they actually taste homemade. Going back and fourth with people who bought from your business online really shows the type of owner you are. Good day

Wish I could give it ten stars. This place is a great “hole in the wall” for breakfast and lunch. Arrived at 845am on a Saturday morning in July and no wait (though when we left there were some waiting – it’s worth the wait). I’ll let you in on a little secret – cinnamon rolls are not on the menu but if you ask specifically for them and they have some left – you’ll definitely want to order that. A smashing cinnamon roll the size of the plate for only $8. Insanely good. Portions sizes were tremendous and quality of food was outstanding. Service was top notch.
