Got here an hour before they close, Thought it would be different. The hashbrowns, had more oil in them than the fryer, and The Chicken sandwich had grease soaked through the bun. The server was polite, but this food was terrible. And improperly prepared.

Service was slow even though there were few customers. Fish was cooked well. Side portions were very small. You would think there was a rice shortage or something. The salad was so small I had to snap a photo for your viewing pleasure.

As a Pre-Diabetic I’m limited to what I can eat. The menu leaves much to be desired.
First, everything is a “Meal”, there’s no à la carte.
What happen to “True” traditional meals?
I’m not impressed.
Second, I came in Sat 11Aug18 and ordered the Chopped Steak, it smelled wrong. I ate it to no ill effects, but it still smelled wrong.
3rd, the only thing I can say good here and the reason for 2 stars rather than 1 is the service. After driving 600-700 miles a friendly smile and a kind word make all the difference. Thank you Hannah for putting a smile on my old face.
Of the few Country Pride’s still in existence this is actually one of the better ones (though the seats at the counter are a bit high). They are all a Shadow of a Shadow of a Shadow of what they once were, but it’s what I’ve come to expect from a company that has forgotten where they came from.

On 9/17/2023 we placed our order at 10:45 am of two breakfasts. 11:45 am we finally got our food. I ordered a bacon and cheese omelet. I got a onion omelet. Hash browns were tater tots smashed on the plate. Pancakes were rock hard and doughy on the inside. My BFF sausage was raw on the inside. French toast not cooked. Biscuit could be used as a weapon it was that hard. Our server was very apologetic about the quality of our food. Said they were short staffed. I figured that when it took 1 hour to get breakfast. We did not mind because we were visiting over some great coffee. I tried to reach out to manager but I have not heard back. Quality has gone way down over the years. Service was wonderful. I just wished a manager was on site.

Got my breakfast cooked by Jason, scrambled eggs,hash browns and sausage. Eggs looked like they were over easy this morning and put back on the grill and chopped up. Brown grease slathered on everything really bad. Tasted awful.cleaned sausage off with napkins and ate them and toast. Was ask if I wanted her to call the manager, I said whatever, so she called and manager Dan Baker said to charge me for side of sausage and toast and my tea.

Definitely did not make the Country Proud. The food was bland and when my fiance ordered the steak medium rare, he got well done. I told the waitress kindly. She didn’t offer to make another and she was trying to tell us that was fine and still had some pink. It was like small parts of it that had pink. The steak was a really good cut and if they had cooked it right it would have been a really good steak.

Ridiculous how bad the food is. They burned the meat in my omelette, the vegetables in the omelet and the cheese were only on half. My pancakes were paper thin and tiny. Hash browns were burnt the salad had ONE tomato and the rest lettuce because they were out of everything else including soup . The chicken was super dry and burnt with no flavor (it was supposed to be lemon pepper) This is so bad it sounds like a joke but this really happened. Good reviews came from long ago it seems and I do remember this place tasting amazing but o how that changed.

ordered ribeye dinner with 2 sides baked patatoe n soup, only thing was hot was the soup infact so hot it tasted burnt, steak was cold patatoe was luke warm. i also had coffee i asked several times for extra creamer n fresh coffee and the waiter Max clears my table brings my check and says thanks for stopping. what the hell kind of server does that.. TA n Country Pride Restaurant here in Concordia Mo went to hell .. and on top rushing me to pay. Bad Service
